Could be wrong but I think Kentucky voted to "expand Medicaid" (read: you can get it just for being poor, no need to be disabled/elderly/have kids). Becky might qualify because she has no income but if she's honest on her application, she doesn't pay any household expenses either, so she might not qualify.

I don't know, but it doesn't matter. There is help out there for most people in this country. Becky and Amber just don't give a fuck they'd rather abuse the ER.

You're right, Kentucky had a "work requirement" for Medicaid that was supposed to go into effect this month but a judge fucked it off (source). It doesn't matter anyway, they're both lazy asf and AL would rather sling a cold benji from her Rebecca Minkoff than have to go through the adult responsibility and burden of doing paperwork and/or making a phone call.

I totally forgot about this thread @C3PBRO and @SAVE TWINKIE!. The image is one I uploaded to KF as I just take screenshots of her IG, so I don't think there's a worry about it disappearing.

Nah you're good, you posted a snap to the snap thread. I think we just wanted to crosspost it here because making 10k or more is a pretty lofty claim and we figured this was the best place for discussion on that particular matter.

I'm necro'ing this thread because of this snap uploaded today by @Trasha Pay That A$$;

In short, Amber now claims to earn 10k a month "or more".

Bless her heart. Nothing she says makes any sense. Let's say that she is pulling in 120K and paying taxes (a huge assumption, I know) on that as income. Including state and federal taxes, that should still leave her with about $6,811/month.

She then says she's paying student loans. I don't know her student loan situation, but I doubt that she's racked up significant debt considering she went to school for such a short period of time. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe that she finished even a year of college? To err on the side of caution, let's put her current student loan balance at 20K and assume a 10 year repayment plan with a 6.8% interest rate. Her payments on such a plan would be about $230, so she's still sitting at $6,581. The rule of thumb with student loans is that you're fine with payments so long as your debt is less than your annual income. In order for her student loans to be a significant burden on her, they would have to be over her alleged income of 120K which is insane for her level of education.

She then has her medical expenses. She hasn't been to the doctor's lately and hasn't started at a therapist yet so I'm not sure what she's talking when she says "hospital/therapist/doctor crap". A monthly Lexapro subscription costs about $165 on the so let's round that up to $200. She's at $6,381. The only thing I could think of that might be a serious debt burden to her would be when she abused the ER? Google says a visit to the ER costs around $1,233 and I'm not aware of AL getting any expensive surgeries or procedures so I can't see this being a serious burden either, at least for someone making 120K. CoL

CoL in bumfuck, KY is not over 6K, which is probably what AL should be left with after all these expenses. Even if this is off by a few grand, her CoL with roommates and Hyundai car payments is not over 2K. We know she has zero impulse control and is obsessed with status symbols (the macbook, her sudden interest in the Louis Vuitton purse, her insistence on buying tacky designer purses at TJ Maxx). If she was really pulling in this kind of money in such a low CoL area, it would show. Also, remember she's claiming 10K is a "bad" month for her, so she should be bringing in even more than that!

SocialBlade assumes she pulls in $8,900 on the high side but alright AL. https://socialblade.com/youtube/channel/UCW5ncBWqvyyUYo1evh1iFCA

I think AL's perception of money is really warped b/c she's only ever really known poverty. People tend to think of themselves as middle class, even when they are not, and assume that their social circle is the norm for the rest of the country. AL's social circle has, for the most part, been lower class. She compares herself to people who make either minimum wage or barely above it, which is $7.25/hr in KY. So she'll be bringing in 30-40K a year and think she's loaded b/c her friends are bringing in closer to 20K/year. Ofc, even 40K for two adult women is really not a lot but AL doesn't realize that.

Saved up for years? If you make more than 10K a month it would only take like two and a half months to have enough for the surgery.

You have to consider her budget: 2-3 restaurant trips per day, food from Walmart, chokers, wax melts, too-small clothing, journals, and water bottles. She needs those things. Besides, she knows she wouldn't be approved anyway because she's not willing to change her eating habits.

I love how when she is asked about saving money on surgery she is giving examples of her spendings and there is always some shit like wax melts, journals and other unnecessary stuff. Gorl doesn't realize that saving money means not spending it on useless things

She mentions she has a lot of dr bills that she pays for monthly, which is keeping her from saving for surgery. Pretty sure it's a lahh, because she's emailed a dr once and considers herself now the epitome of health, but taking it at face value, I wonder what could help her with these dr bills that she is drowning in due to her super morbid obesity?

She's like a sinking ship and rather than plug the hole, she just keeps buying more buckets.

I cant wait for more of her white trash family coming out of the woodwork now that AL has a couple of bucks. Anything to get that Meth!

I think it was posted in this thread before. From memory (and it might be faulty) she took 19K on student loans. What I do remember quite well, because of the absurdity, was that Amber's excuse for not paying on it was - until a year or so ago - that she didn't know she had to pay back her student loans.

So, up until a year or so, Amber paid absolutely nothing on her loans. She was warned, over and over again, that she could get her student loans forgiven, but she ignored all the comments telling her that, just like she did with comments about enrolling for health care.

Soon after the window closed for being forgiven/decrease the amount on her loans, Amber claimed that she'd started to pay them back. IIRC, she only mentioned it once.

What the fuck. I'm almost at a loss of how to respond to this how can she be so dumb. That also makes no sense; to take out student loans you have to go through student loan counseling. There's no way in hell she "didn't know" that she had to pay them back they tell you like twenty five times and make you calculate how you'll pay it back. Also it's sorta in the name? It's a loan? Why does AL pick the weirdest things to lie about?

Either way, if we start with 19K of principal taken out eight years ago, assume a 6.8% interest rate compounded annually, her student loan balance should be around 32K. The average student loan debt for an American who actually graduate with a Bachelor's is 39K so AL owes almost as much as someone who graduated with a real degree for a semester of sitting on her ass. Amazing. As you said, she also could have gotten that balance forgiven b/c she went to a diploma mill but instead she sat on her fat ass and tossed 32K in the garbage. I know she's bad with money but goddamn. Even with a 32K balance though (assuming she's on the 10 year plan, which she probably is b/c she's too dumb to figure out how to change it from that), her payments should only be around $370 which is still not a lot for someone with a 120K income.

Have you seen the Amberisms thread? The only time it's accurate to use the word loose in regards to Amber is when we're talking about her grasp on the English language.

If you think about it, it kind of makes sense (in Amber's head). Amber was fresh out of the system, where everything was paid for her (either by the state or foster parents). Amber is entitled enough to think that (other people's) money just materializes any time she needs it, and self-centered enough to not pay attention to other people's struggles to pay her way through life.

Monticello isn't just poor; it's really poor. The median household income is 17 thousand dollars, and per capita is 12k. 34% of the population is below the poverty line. If she's bringing in 35k a year, and say Rickie's getting 25k, their household income is 3.5 times the median in their town. She is middle class relative to everyone else around her.

The thought of Amber as middle-class is blowing my tiny little mind.

Fucking grim.

Ugh. This really implies she doesn't pay taxes at all. Since YT doesn't deduct for them, as Amber is considered a contractor, she only ever would pay in. There is no "getting any back".

This dumb hoe, that is part of the non-disclosure agreement she signed when she partnered. Even if she is lying she still cannot name a figure and she's done it multiple times. She can get her adsense account taken away.

The self-employed tax rate is 15.3% up to $128,400 for self employed individuals (12.4% for social security, 2.9% for medicare) which can then be taken and deducted from your income when figuring out your gross income/how much you'll pay in income tax.

Assuming she's telling the truth (she's not) and she made $120,000 in the last year (she didn't), she would've been hit with $18,360 in self employment taxes. Taking that away from her income, we're left with $101,640 which would hit her with $18,504 in federal taxes, $5,615 in state taxes, and $915 in local taxes - or $43,394 in total taxes paid. That's assuming she didn't figure out how to deduct all of her shitty hauls and Cheesecake Factory trips as 'business expenses' and come up with a net loss, of course.

TL;DR: I'm sure you're making that money, Amber. I believe that as much as I believe you paid your taxes and I believe you will be a dainty 199 elbees someday :optimistic:
