Are we over or under on if this is real? I'm inclined to believe it, but she is such a lying bitch that I could see this being a complete sham in order to deflect from recent events.

She wants to buy a new pet with the new gf so Rarity had to go. The lezbean version of having a new baby with every new relationship, since she is white trash through and through.
 
If she’s telling the truth and Rarity was in the habit of hanging around on the back patio with the dogs, something might have spooked her and run her up in a tree or to a hidey hole. In which case, Amber needs to be out walking :optimistic:around and calling for her and listening for meows, not Emily. It’s possible that she still might be hunkered down and scared and needs to hear a voice she knows.

I suspect that Rarity has been indoor/outdoor, in which case who knows where she ended up. I hope the cat is safe and warm somewhere and Amber gets the full brunt of karma for the abhorrent way she acted when Gracie went missing.
 
Poor Rarity. Maybe you'd still have your kitty if you didn't travel with them across the country and move them into an unfamiliar place.
 
I know a lot of people think cats should be allowed outside but (annoying cat sperging ahead) it's getting cold in Wisconsin this week with rain and flurries. It breaks my heart to think of indoor kitties being forced to learn to fend for themselves outdoors when all they've ever known is being warm and safe inside. Is Rarity declawed? That would make this even worse.

I am hoping someone finds her and takes her in and she finds a new home. Even the homeless cat I let in every time its cold is chipped, you have no excuse in 2024. Also the stupid bitch moved the cats twice in a year.
 
Pretty easy lie to suss out, all one of the reactors needs to do is just email. say they think they found her. Amber will either have to reply saying "yes bring it over" or "oh no we found her it must not be mine".

This image from google maps, taken just in September so we know its fresh, shows a privacy barrier on the back deck where the sliding glass door is, leading to a low fenced in yard. Easily escapable for a kitteh.

The only reason I believe the cat is missing is that with the mountain of flack Amber catches for animal care I can’t see her faking a story that feeds into that, but anything is possible.

OTOH that cat just got moved (again) across the country and stuck in a new place. The first weeks in a new place are the most likely times for a stressed cat to try to bolt. Amber mentioned she had let Rarity outside before and that’s hard to take away from a cat.

People can bitch about Amber’s pet care but she’s had the cat for 8 years. She does care about it. Sadly most white trash just leave pets when they move. (I’ve done cat rescue and I’m appalled at the number of people that just move and leave their cats) Or in Chantal’s cat put one down and pawn off the other.

Amber loves that cat like she loves a daydream a real luxury handbag or a girlfriend. She loves the idea of having an accessory that can show affection. She loves that cats are seen as feminine and pet ownership gives her the role of an authority over something and a loose tie to motherhood. All she gives a shit about is the ✨️aesthetic✨️ of being a good pet parent. If she actually gave a shit about the cat she wouldnt be so stupid and lazy and this wouldnt have happened.

Bonus points for "caring for your animal" but you ate yourself into being unable to do anything during an emergency and wont do anything constructive about it.

I hope Rarity makes it home (*well, maybe not that home) safe. I wonder if Tommy is having misgivings about leaving Amber at home with her pets. I'm sure if she hasn't already, she'll soon be informed of the Gracie situation. If Rarity got out on Amber's watch, who's to say her pets aren't next. Especially if she's just letting the dogs out and not paying attention...they could get out or a predator could get in.
