I can fully sympathize with why people get angry with Amber and her "diagnoses." From day one all of us have called bullshit, considering Bipolar Disorder average diagnosis can range from 6 to 12 months. The process is designed to see the patient frequently to see if their mood is different. The fact she did not say the type either was a massive red flag because that is the first thing the patient is given. To lie about BD too says a lot about your personality because like Schizophrenia it requires a lot of self-modulation in order to function in society. A lot of BD sufferers I have crossed have been incredibly self-aware because they have to be to function and control their illness.

The BED one is pretty disgusting as it's not the easiest condition to diagnose and takes a lot of time. Older doctors too kind of ignore its existence even though in most cases once treatment is successfully applied has a very high success rate because relapsing is harder than Anorexia and Bullemnia, though very controlled based patients tend to recover easier because of obvious subsidiary issues. She does not even fit any of the DSM 4 and 5 regarding it. Youtube at some point will clamp down on users who clearly abuse food for views. It's only a matter of time with people like Eugenia and Nickado with Chantal/Amber. In terms of PR, they are nightmares but I do believe every dog has its day. Amber isn't exactly thriving at the moment and is trying desperately to keep afloat.

I have to disagree. Bipolar patients often lack self awareness, particularly when in a manic episode. It is difficult to keep them on medication for this reason alone.
