I think she needs to realise that it's not "fat-phobic". People are not meant to look like that. It's more shock than anything else.

She is not bedbound. I do not know why people keep saying this, but with her limited mobility, she is nearly housebound. Since she can only walk for a few minutes and does not drive, she needs someone to drive her to an appointment or help her to take a taxi or Uber. This is not normal for someone 30-year-old that considers herself "big but healthy".
