So keeping an eye on that apartment website in the future for available units should tell us if she moves out.

She probably paid first and last month's rent when she moved in. Landlords will usually let a tenant break their lease if they suddenly went broke and unemployable like this.
 
I won't PL, but personally, I know through someone how brutal OK renter rules are. They will kick her out in a day, and at max 5. Disability is also going to be a cunt for her as she has no paperwork or proof of diagnosis.

The thing is, when you are trying to win over an apartment in dire circumstances, you really have to be personable and likeable. Amber is neither of those, with no major plan, people have not said it enough, but the ban from PayPal REALLY hurts Amber. I can see her getting banned from Cameo too, because, judging by the quality of her videos, it's not good and it makes the company look bad. She has received a couple, but the Cameo money will not suffice. In her live, she was clearly fretting about tax money and needs to cough up about 30-35k. It's not looking good for Pookie.

Many states have multi-month processes because courts are backed up and there are all sorts of stalling tactics tenants use. There are tons of legal aid groups in many states to give free lawyers to renters. It can take three to six months in most states, because the landlord-tenant courts are so backed up.

But Oklahoma yeets tenants with a quickness. Don't pay your rent? Oklahoma don't give a fuck. You and your stuff will be thrown out on the curb.

Presumably Amber would pay her 12/01 rent from her upcoming paycheck. But if she doesn't pay 01/01, the landlord could turf her and her giant journal pile before February.

Amber was given plenty of time to correct this issue. Back in fall 2024 when she was squatting at Emily's house, Amber had a couple of videos pulled for violating their TOS (rotisserie chicken mukbang and I ate 5,000 calories or whatever). That was her opportunity to clear up her backlog but she didn't because... entitled. That was much more of a chance than most other creators have gotten before getting yeeted.

But otherwise, yes, I agree with your sentiments about how terrible YouTube is.

I think she knows that if she sets up a GoFundMe, her audience will make $1 donations to spam the page about her bedbugs and fleas, or her lack of showering, her history of cats "exploring too hard", etc. And it might be easier for them to chargeback the donation on GFM than on Cameo. So she probably sees GFM as having to sit there and have pennies thrown at her as they make fun of her. It's a shame, because watching that happen would be funny.

According to Gorlic, the second you lose monetization, EVERYTHING that you've earned gets held by YouTube. So NOTHING would be paid out to her today, and nothing on the 21st of December, meaning that she has to make due with whatever was already in her bank account. I know her views were dreadfully low during the times for these checks, but she had memberships and superchats (which I think are currently her bread and butter, er, doordash and laygos) and all of that will be held back by YouTube as well.

Good thing she has all of those stuffed money envelopes, right? :smug:

Hopefully for her sake, this is Amber purging offending content and not YouTube continuing to search her channel and finding the TOS breaking vids themselves. And, hopefully for her sake, she didn't panic and immediately submit an appeal the second she realized she lost monitization earlier this week. If so, Ambo won't be seeing any kinda dosh until at least the last third of February. Well, I'm sure she'll find it funny; she did find it funny and "tea" that someone she knew was losing weight because they couldn't afford food, so this should be HILARIOUS to her.

How is that any different from most other jobs in general? Why should youtube be a protected income? Turns out breaking your employers rules generally gets you fired. Anyone who treats youtube as their sole "job" is pretty fucking retarded, ngl.

I'd imagine it would be hard for youtube to stop a payment going out only two days before they send out their giant batch of thousands of ACH paychecks. Didn't she lose monetization on the 19th? Between internal HR software and the ACH scheduling system, they'd have needed to block her paycheck before that. from what I calculate from old knowledge anyway. Maybe things are different in 2025, but I doubt it.

Youtube could stop her paycheck going out if a c-suite executive called and asked for an emergency stop, but she's not that important. Youtube will just go through their typical procedures. She's lucky she didn't lose monetization early in the month given how old many of her problem videos are.

But she'll face the decision of whether to pay rent or save the money. She probably has last month's rent prepaid, so she'd be smart to ask her landlord TODAY if she can break her lease and move out at the end of December. Then she'll have to get a roommate situation type deal.

Her best bet, if she's desperate enough, would be to shack up with someone who could set up a PayPal account for this kind of stuff and have them hold the money for her.
