any "letter" or "certificate" online for an esa is 100% a scam and not a valid letter. you get a letter for your esa from your dr or therapist and they dont cost anything,.

This is not true. Any certified mental health professional can write a letter for an esa. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never seen them or if it was done online.

wrong. you cannot get them online from a rando professional that doesn't know you from a hole in the wall, they have to be your own therapist or dr. that's the whole point, someone that treats/knows you long term and your conditions/diagnosis and can back up the need of an esa as a treatment. any source you are getting your info from is a front to lie to people to avoid the "wrong" online esa letters but then promote their own "totally legit" letters.

edit: even if you get a bogus online letter and are able to fool a landlord with it, it's still a non-legal document and if an incident happens with your esa where you live you will be in hot water without a leg to stand on

You can look at any state’s esa requirements and they are going to say you need a letter from a certified mental health professional. There is no way to even validate the relationship between the letter writer and animal owner. Confirming if someone is a patient is a HIPAA violation.

i suppose if you have a legit online therapist mental health provider, it could be a way to get a letter like a regular in person therapist, though it would be shitty of something to take advantage of the esa system by seeing them once and getting a letter from one session knowing it couldn't be proven they did it that way. so you seem to be correct in that factor, so my bad. But my main concern was about the sites that claim they can give you a esa letter and/or certification online, for a price. those are the ones many people fall for unfortunately and are scams, and of course are not mental health professionals as much as they try to prove it's all legit. Either way, if someone is paying any amount of money for a letter, it's a scam. If they are being sold a certification, it's a scam and not even a thing to begin with. Also lots of online "mental health" help sites aren't even provided by certified professionals, which is another dead-end in getting a letter online.

also the original post i replied to was clearly talking about a scam site (whether they knew so or not) since they mentioned being able to get a letter online for $30 hence why i even commented to begin with. Real esa letters are 100% free, any ones you'd pay for are fake and a common scam.

People take advantage of the EA system CONSTANTLY so they can just bring their pets wherever they want. Its giving actual service animals a bad name. Its like "marijuana cards". You just go to a clinic pay them and say the magice words and POOF heres your cert. Amber would absolutely register twonk if it was for her advantage.
 
This 2 pets limit is not written in the constitution. It is to make sure that someone does not come with multiple huskies for example. I think she told them that she had a small dog and 2 indoor cats, and they agreed to let them stay. No conspiracy, with Amber, the simple solution is often the right one.

Goddamn my nigga here is mad on the internet. My ESA letter obtained from my Ritalin dr and deffo NOT from my weed card doctor cost $45 on top of my regular visit copay, and I got it so I don’t have to pay pet rent (my cat does not have good employment prospects how is he supposed to pay rent?)
