Macauley fucking Culkin as a LEGATE of all things
Culkin would be much better as a frumentarii. He looked so silly and small in the armor, and was more intimidating when he took it off. They should have just played into the cold, calculating, intelligence thing from the beginning. Meeting Vulpes in Nipton is one of the most chilling moments in NV. He's not some big guy in armor, he's a calm, soft-spoken weirdo with a dog on his head, and that makes the horrifying atrocities he has commited all the more unsettling.

Of course, anything they do with Culkin's character is undermined by how retarded they made the rest of the Legion.

I don't know exactly why I repeatedly watch this Canadian but somehow I do.
Most other reviewers will share their thoughts on it after it's finished rather than attempting to cover every episode. Outside of here, No Mutants Allowed, the scattering of shitposts in 4chan, or the occasional Fallout New Vegas reddit post, people will dump over the show when it's done and not during.

Jumpscared by a tranny that looks like he's Texas Chainsaw Massacred someone and is wearing their face. I clicked to watch, saw the tranny and stopped watching. Gross!

EDTI: I find Creetosis's voice too annoying to listen to. It's like with all those Romanian guys and other Eastern European guys doing videos. They might have good points and interesting arguments. Shame I'll never know because I refuse to listen to someone whose voice I find annoying for longer than 5 minutes.

I was about to post this too, but not a direct link.

I guess the Youtube algorithm is pushing for positive reviews.

Also of course that tranny didn't like Hogwarts Legacy.

Creetosis is Canadian with a layer of "Angry Internet Nerd Whose Social Life Has Been Online Most His Life" peppering his Canuck vocals

It's the nerd sneer in his voice that makes me go "Oh, haha no." Whenever he speaks. I also don't need an EFAP style breakdown of why obviously dogshit TV is dogshit.

The Area 51 part was just pure subversion. Blowing up the old car, no acknowledgment of the frozen alien instead they throw it away because they wanted the fridge, the 2 retard knights playing with a plasma grenade...
Flores 03447-E Prewyden Terminal Entry Fallout 4.

McLaren got his suit wiped out trying to drop from the top of Trinity Tower, so the current record holder is still Petris with his Prydwen-to-ground drop. Remember, no leg armor mods allowed, just a clean jump with standard T-60 and you have to be able to walk away. No exceptions.

Par for the course according the the lore. The brotherhood has always been portrayed not unlike the marines in the way they act as a bunch of jock ass type dudes. They are certified meatheads. The hot potatoe a bit over the top for sure buts alot of things the brotherhood does for fun could be seen that way. Like the power armor is cool and shit and the elders and what not very kino but its a military type faction, they act like grunts in the military do.

I also didnt really find issue with car. It served a purpose, to test his sweet new minigun. What purpose does a singular old world car serve to a faction who travels primarily by air? Who is even to say that is the only surviving car they've come across. The alien really isnt all that alien in the sake of fallout, mutants and the like are everywhere. If they knew how to access the super secret entrance to area 51 they probably also had other Intel on The Government/Enclave prewar that would allude to the zetans. A still working cryo fridge is pretty impressive all things considered Llike if your a faction that prioritizes tech and weapons you probably dont have much use for the alien itself but the feezer thats been running perpetually probably of more intrest. Any tech and knowledge worth gaining you could just ask quickly get from the facility itself or ascertained prior. They knew how to get uncover and get into the facility they probably knew what to expect in the facility.

The show isnt perfect. But the cannon shit is so funny 2 me. I dont even think Bethesda themselves could provide you and cannon ending for each game that does not contradict another. Not that any of that shit matters. The plot over 4 is shit and stupid regadless so idk why people are dying on the cannon hill. Do you want the show to be about fallout or do you want a show about new vegas? You strangle yourself creatively universe wise by sticking to the plot of 1 of the games. They gotta make compromises if they wanna have a full fledged out universe.

No body plays fallout the same. Theres people who look forward to joining the railroad out there. Theres people who love the brotherhood. People love the legion. People love the ncr. How do you please all those people? When you have such an open ended game played in a multitude of ways, how do you go about pleasing all of them? Fuck some people dont even ever finish the games they just love specific side quests or just collecting stupid shit like a bathtub full of prewar money. Thats the beauty of fallout.

If this is some woke shit I guess I missed it but I like the show. Its somewhat normie slop but what isn't. Its good for what it is. And I could watch a show about literally anything in the universe. Mr house is played out as fuck give me a episode centered around Lily and Jacobstown. I wanna meet that dudes whose bitch ass brother died fighting for the ncr. Mr house and his gay robots are gay. The only mr house stuff I find intriguing is pre war same with any "official cannon lore" the rest i could care less the game always been like an rpg meets madlibs to me. Shits a choose your own adventure.

Something I haven't heard anyone complain about is the score. I really don't like it. I cringe every time I hear the Ghoul's motif - "HHAAAEEEHYYAEEYAYEEAYAEEEEAAAAA"
The intro sounds like Uncle Ruckus' theme:

The BoS theme also sounds ploddy and lame. The only part of the original score that I've liked so far is the espionage-y piece that plays when Hank is in Vault-Tec HQ,

I gave up after episode three, but apparently they now made the BOS airship a prewar thing. Like it was dumb enough that every BOS faction somehow has one, despite Fallout 4 making it clear it took monumental effort to build the Prydwynn over five years, but how does an airship make sense in a world where both sides have jet fighters?

Show shills often resort to the "New Vegas Purist" attack, but they need to keep in mind that if they didn't have the awareness of a bloatfly -- they'd realize that even as a standalone product, factoring out the lore the show still exemplifies Bad Writing in every single scene of every single episode.

Plot contrivance after plot contrivance. Things obviously only happen because the writers demand it to happen, with no care for how character behavior and atmosphere is unrealistically contorted in service of their peculiar sexual fetishes (e.g. all the cousin fucking talk), gore fetishes, soyjack-pointing-at-screen "LOOK AT THE ACTION" moments.

Lucy and Maximus have the most obnoxious plot armor I've seen. They are not skilled enough to survive all the situations they were in where a brutal death would have happened to someone without plot armor. And while Cooper Howard "The Ghoul"* has over 2 centuries of survival experience, it's clear that he has immersion breaking levels of plot armor too. Nonsensical for him to just stand there with Lucy while the Deathclaw comes out of Gomorrah.

*(makes no sense that's his nickname given how common ghouls are...they might as well have made him a glowing one with a Jason Bright echoing voice, it might have given him a more realistic name like "The Glowing Cowboy").

There's also the "erm, Fallout is a RPG. Lucy, Maximus and Cooper just have better perks, it's not plot armor" excuse that I've seen on Xitter.

>racists who murder anyone who isn't a full human
YOU MEAN THE ENCLAVE?
You mean the thing the Enclave does that thematically separates them from the Brotherhood?

I bet Fo4 justifies this somehow, and it makes me even more glad that I haven't played it.

And then everyone clapped.

I assumed Max was having a nightmare when some random knight challenged him to a duel to the death for... killing an enemy of the Brotherhood? Fucking what?
This is the funniest example of someone projecting better writing onto this show so far lol I wish it was just a nightmare.

When I saw the "VATS scene" with Lucy shooting the King in the head, I thought it was going to be some emotional gut-punch where she accidentally shot a non-feral ghoul - a very important one. No, it's just her shooting the King.

This show feels like an adaption of the cancelled Fallout film from the 90s, more than anything. Its like they read some shitty AI generated screen rant article about it, read the treatment, and decided to lift the core narrative ideas while pozzing it up for "modern audiences". Vault Tec being behind the great war, capitalist villains, Los Angeles being a central location, etc etc. The only difference is that the script was written when there was only one Fallout game released, they were as close to the source material as they possibly could be and they still managed to bungle the core themes of the series.

Decades of franchise rape and destruction have given midwits dozens of examples to point to in justifying the continued rape and destruction. The games lost internal lore/narrative consistency a long time ago, the show wasn't even the final nail in the coffin, its the pissing on the grave after the coffin is already 12 feet under.

Episode 5 came out and we learn that the totally-not-Mr-House guy we've seen in the bar and the Veterans Hall bathroom is actually Robert House, please pretend to be shocked. He talks with Cooper and directly says Vault-Tec and the other companies at the meeting from season 1 will not end the world. House implies Cooper's wife, the shadowy group behind the deathclaw *cough* The Enclave *cough*, and possibly even Howard himself will actually cause the end of the world. House talks about how he uses his tech to predict the future through math and shit, because his motto is that the House always wins, but he's starting to think he isn't actually the House in this situation.

Freeside is also still around, bit more crowded and ran down, but still together. Lucy goes to steal some addictol from a store and ends up shooting the fake store owner dead after finding the real store owner's cut up body. She goes to the ghoul's room at the Atomic Wrangler where she's informed that the ghoul has agreed to take her back to Vault 33 under threat by Hank, who threatens to kill both Cooper's wife and daughter, who are in the Vault under Vegas. Lucy gets shot with a tranq dart by the ghoul, but due to the addictol it takes a while to work on her, so she punches the ghoul out a window with the Power Fist she also stole, He gets impaled on a pole through the abdomen. Hank then Kidnaps Lucy after she finally passes out.

Also it's confirmed that Future Enterprises Ventures is, in fact, code for the Forced Evolutionary Virus.

I think the show played it's hand way too early in showing that The Enclave was still around in season 1, as it's clear they are setting up the Enclave as the big bad for the latter half of Season 2.
