She seems to make a lot of soups, with a LOT of vegetables fried in oil and butter, and in some of these posts seems to imply that there's oil or butter blended into the soup itself. I get that the smell/consistency/act of cooking might be therapeutic in a way, but... she can't actually taste any of this, can she? Surely there's no real benefit or reason for shoving this goop in her tube instead of an Ensure?

For real--the first time I saw one of her selfies, I was so startled at how goddamn ugly she is that I jumped a bit. It's the same knee-jerk reaction I would have to someone who'd been disfigured in an accident or as a result of some kind of illness. But that's usually followed by sympathy. In her case, it's just MORE horror.

Yeah, that's the other thing, she talks about how these things all taste so you know she's at least actually drinking SOME of it - if she were putting directly into her stomach she might be able to get some amount of aftertaste or something, but she claims that feeding tube is bypassing her stomach entirely, and... yeah, you can't taste your intestinal contents.

Because she knows she's either lying (or was) at some point about the diagnosis. If she knows she was healthy enough to actually digest but induced symptoms/etc. for a diagnosis, even if she actually developed it she could still believe she can actually handle eating real food.
Like when little kids pretend to be sick so they can get out of school but then actually come down with a cold when the weekend rolls around so they act like they're fine.

This is why I actually took her bullshit seriously enough that I cited it in a paper intended for publication, which thank fucking Christ was never actually published.
 
I signed up to reply to this thread - I read here and imagine my surprise at stumbling across someone that I know. I don't know her in a 'we are friends' way, I know her in a' see her in public frequently' way. I had no idea she was internet famous and would never have guessed why she was.

Because she acts perfectly normal in public and is self sufficient. I see her on the bus frequently, she takes it all by herself with absolutely no issues. I also see her out and about around town, walking by herself.

I guess it's really easy to give a completely wrong impression of yourself online on purpose because in a lot of ways she is nothing like what the internet says she's like (most of the misinformation comes directly from her).

Her looks: she's really short with (likely intentionally) terrible posture. She's probably 5 foot 1 inch. Which leads to my next point - she's actually not that fat. At her height she probably weighs 225 pounds. She pulls her head down to emphasize her double chin and lack of neck. She's got uncomfortably large breasts (like, watermelon sized) and never wears a bra so the combination of short, moderately heavy, enormous braless breasts and terrible posture makes her look 400 pounds online. She most assuredly is not. Her mobility is not impaired in the least.

I mentioned her bralessness because it's uncomfortable to notice notice her because of it. She intentionally wears (brand new, niche 'gender is fluid' etc) tshirts that are too short for her due to her chest size. I say intentionally because they are obviously new and unisex- she could have bought a larger size but seems to like making people uncomfortable with the breasts. I can't state more clearly how shocking they are.

Her facial hair and expressions - if I didn't know better I would say she combs it to fluff it out. It's very fluffy and long. To put the breasts in perspective, you don't notice the full mustache and beard first. She has a completely blank expression but will meet your eye.

There is absolutely ZERO hand flapping or weird articulations. When you take the bus here you get familiar with how stressed out schizophrenics act very quickly along with all the other mental illnesses that tend to need medication or monitoring. She gets on the bus with no help of a mobility device, calmly picks a seat near the mid-front and calmly rides wherever she needs to get. Most of the mentally ill people riding the bus spend most of their time being visibly anxious about missing their stop, she's fine.

I don't know much about the day to day life of having feeding tubes and a catheter but last time I saw her, her stomach looked fine in the, admittedly brief, glimpse i had when her too short tshirt rode up when she got up to exit the bus.

I have never seen her with any other person, I would have assumed she needed a helper based on reading about her. I can't stress enough that she doesn't act anything like I saw in those videos from her. She seems like any other unfortunately unattractive low intellect person. This is craziness, have none of the people who are currently friends with her called her out on her internet persona?

When I was reading this I tried to figure out how long I had been aware of her and have no specific memory of seeing her for the first time. I only really paid attention when the short tshirts came out and because of a reason described at the end of this post. So, just a couple of years. The only reason I would notice her is because of her physical appearance, she doesn't actually do anything weird. I can't imagine she could be so mentally ill/handicapped and be so normal. Usually if someone is barely holding it together for a short period of time because they are in public they clench their hands or sit very stiffly. She's fine.

What is REALLY weird though, I think she's modeling all of this on a very real person who lives here. This woman is older, 50s or 60s (it's hard to tell) and looks exactly like Amanda but is absolutely mentally and physically disabled. Same hair, same facial hair and similar glasses and style of dress on the same body type. The real other woman is poor and mentally challenged in some way though which is, I presume, why she wears too small tshirts that are usually on the dirty side hygenically. This other woman sounds like a pekinese dog when she breathes and has some mobility issues, she moves slowly like it hurts.

I guess, without ever thinking about it too much, I thought they were related (mother/ daughter maybe) because the resemblance is UNCANNY.
