yeah i noticed how the so called autistic community really tout her as legit, and heaven help you if you tell them - even while presenting proof and info, about amandas many charades and false ''disabilities'' and that everyone has been played by this crazy chick , BUT at the same time, i notice how no one on YouTube does any vids on her, even the many who are calling out the disorder/disability fakers on tiktok and the like, no one will mention amanda, even though shes the queen of disability faking online and livin' that lie. She started this mess in the late 90s on blogs and when youtube came about she , ( and shelly H. aka droooopy ) took off , hit the ground running with it, and the others who were in the so called neurodivery movement and who went to hings like the ''autreat'' autistic retreat conventions.

Some disorders do manifest later in life or due to a trigger, like schizophrenia. I don't think A M Baggs was one of these cases.
I read through all the evidence on that tiny font blog the other day. It sounds pretty clear-cut and well-documented by contemporaneous witnesses with no significant reason to lie or exaggerate that she induced a psychotic break/schizophrenia in herself by abusing psychedelics. Sounds like she was on her way to having a disorder in that family beforehand and she just hit the gas and crashed through the front window of Schizo Inc. But, did she continue to have (untreated) schizophrenia after that? Less certain. She may have had a one-off psychotic episode that dragged on and was difficult to treat and then when she began to come out of it she wanted to retain the feelings associated with being a psychiatric patient/disabled and began fabricating symptoms. Eventually she settled on autism because it was on the upswing as a topic and she was clearly a bright and well-read woman other than being batshit insane and having a compulsion to gain attention through lies.
I had this exact same thought reading about her time in college. People with undiagnosed psychotic disorders can trigger them accidentally through using weed and psychedelic's. The issue with this theory is she has never come across as a schizophrenic to me. Schizos have a very unique way of typing massive paragraphs of word salad and I've never seen Amanda do that. She was articulate and well written from her earlier posts to the day she died. She never seemed schizophrenic to me.
It's possible for someone to have a true, full-blown psychotic episode and then never be psychotic again. This is especially the case when the psychosis is induced by substance abuse. So that could be what happened to her. I agree she does not sound like a schizophrenic, and the level of plotting, scheming, and calculating involved in seeking attention (not to mention the craving for spotlight itself) is not typical to someone with untreated schizophrenia which will involve a lot of executive functioning problems, thought disorder, avolition and asociality. Sometimes the negative symptoms of schizophrenia will look similar to some cases of autism- someone sitting and staring into space trapped in their own compulsive thought loops. But that doesn't really seem to be her issue either.

oh no, you should have seen the back n forth '' wars'' Amanda and this Shelly woman had, both of them were both faking, but were arguing that one was copying the other, and supposedly Shelly threatened Amanda, and Amanda made sure that Shelly was banned from the stupid '' autreat'' conventions, Amanda even got legal aid to help her and she was manipulative enough to convince the legal aid that Shelly was '' stalking and harassing '' her it was so pathetic .
and we can be more vocal getting the truth out about her now because shes not around to try and sue people for ''harassing her'' and '' spreading rumors'' about her , yes amanda was no stranger to screaming lawyer, when people attempted to call her on her crap, same for hows he screamed lawyer when another faker accused Amanda of copying and stalking her, and the other girl did the same thing, accused Amanda of stalking and copying her as well LOL it was a mess, i was in vermont and i knew her and socialized with her during this, as this was right before i started seeing through all the BS and realized amanda was nothing but a fraud / munchie.
she had changed her name throughout life, her real name(s) as well as her various screen names for online stuff, her excuse to do this stuff was '' stalkers'' shew as changing her name(s) each time people started seeing, and pointing out, holes in her story, and calling her on her crap, she would hide behind the guise in that scenario as she was being '' harassed''. when people like Shelly H and a couple others at various points in life accused her of copying them, or stalking them, shed change her name and say the reason was SHE was being stalked and her life was being copied . throughout the time i knew her i would refuse to call her by her '' new names'' and i even told her that i know you as Amanda and that is who you are, plus im so used to your real name, she was pretty okay with that because , number 1, she had no clue that part of my reasoning was i thought it was complete insanity, but she thought it was just because it was hard for me to remember so she '' accommodated'' me LOL but she was annoyed and even said at one point that, by calling her Amanda i was ''putting her in danger''
