N.W.A is one of those classic hip-hop groups that should be considered psy-op government mandated music. If I recall, even Ice Cube admitted to Bill Maher that the music he made in the group with them was used as bait for propaganda to flourish in the black community to make it seem like it’s cool to be a gangbanger,

I was shoveling snow while listening to these guys and there were times that I had to pause this music and really question, “This is the group that rap fans consider to be the hip-hop version of the Sex Pistols?”

If anything, there were just some okay songs that didn’t involve just blatant edgy anti-law enforcement and anti-white material. Though, the second album was the first time in a while where I stated that this is possibly the most self-destructive project I ever heard.

It really makes you wonder how Dr. Dre and Eazy-E were caught up with the law regarding the former dealing with assault with battery towards a woman and the other literally dying of AIDS because of the second album legit trying too hard to not prove he wasn’t a “manwhore”.

I still laugh when they get called “The World’s Most Dangerous Group”.

I recently rewatched The Right Stuff, which is generally a good movie and fairly historically accurate as far as I know.

NASA had earth stations in Australia so that they could keep in contact with spacecraft orbiting Earth. There's a scene where Gordon Cooper's character meets an aborigine ...who claims that aborigines also fly into space.


Then later, during John Glenn's flight, he sees "fireflies" - and there were a few tense moments, as mission control feared that Glenn was seeing evidence that his heat shield was disintegrating, meaning he'd soon die horribly (see: Vladimir Mikhaylovich Komarov)

But Hooray! The wonderful, benevolent, magical aborigines save him with their magical magic!


It's pretty typical of hollywood's enthusiasm for making primitive, low-IQ people seem like more than they actually are.

Give the book a chance, sometime. Its quite good. There are a few details that bug me in the movie. Cooper's wife being the biggest. She was a qualified pilot, flight instructor, ran her own charter company, and was a notable barnstormer.

And you'd never know it from watching the movie. She was a pretty cool lady.
