I have a personal story to share. Copied and pasted from a phone conversation---so forgive me for the grammar and the tone being really casual.
Today my mom told me a story that her coworker told her. They are sonographers (ultrasound). So there was a patient... A large black flamboyantly gay dude. Talked all high pitched and everything.
Initially, one of the ultrasound students (college kids I think? idk) goes to do this patient's test. It was a testicular exam btw
Dude immediately accuses her of being rude and basically is so mean that she says all right sir I'm gonna go have someone else finish your test
She grabs my mom's coworker (the one who later told this story) and she went in hi like I'm gonna be taking care of the rest of your test or whatever. And this guy is ON THE PHONE talking like, yeah some white girl come in she's being very rude to me" (of course he didn't speak that properly, he probably threw some cuss words in there)
Obviously the sonographer lady was very patient and professional (my mom's work fosters a culture of not being dogshit) as you would expect from any decent healthcare worker right. She didn't return his hostility. So then, as part of the routine procedure, she was like okay I'm gonna uncover you. And the dude yells at her like "you just wanna see a nigga's dick". What did this idiot expect was gonna happen?? It's a testicular examination you absolute moron.
And then she's also like, I need you to lay your head back for me so I can do such and such. Bro absolutely flips out. She had let his seat down a bit, but then bro literally reaches behind the headrest and yanks the lever thingy to sit it back up, very suddenly and right into her face. At this point she is genuinely afraid that he might hit her. All this time he has been verbally abusing her, calling her racist and rude saying she's got an attitude, refusing to let her do anything.
After all that, she's like I'm sorry but I'm not finishing your test, and leaves. Apparently after that, bro removed his iv by himself, got up and left the exam room, walked to the waiting area, didn't tell anybody he had left btw. One of the ppl out there apparently had dealt with this guy before, and he was like bro what are you doing. By now the sonographer woman was like erm where did this patient go. The other guy comes and asks like heyyy you want me to take him back to the ER for you..? And she's like yeah lolll...
Mom said that her friend, that woman, was very upset. Understandably. What a horrible terrible person. I hope he gets banned from that hospital

My little brother attended a high school that was 70% black. He told me that student performance was so poor that they had completely changed the grading scale so that 25%-50% counted as a D and a 80% counted as a A and teachers were passing students with a D- just for showing up to class even if they didn't do any work in order to motivate students to participate in school, despite that at the same time the school announced that 50% of students were still failing more then two classes and that 25% of students were not attending school and had to get the police department to threaten parents with legal action for truancy, it's like trying to motivate toddlers.

Mother of all pearls, that is depressing as hell. I know if I had to work with that I'd probably never work in education ever again. It's things like that why many cities face impending competency crisises. It truly makes me wonder if this type of behavior is going to lead to America becoming a 3rd world country in parts
