Due to the website crashing on my end, I can’t post this on the Music section with the hip-hop thread in it, but after 20 years, OutKast has officially made history by now having the highest best-selling rap album of all time.

Back in 2004, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below made history at the 46th annual Grammy Awards by winning Album of The Year, making them only the second rap act to do so. The first rapper that won the AOTY was when Lauryn Hill did it for her well-regarded and iconic album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

To put things in perspective, these are officially the highest selling albums that reached Diamond-certified status, courtesy of the RIAA:

I think in my own home abode, I almost have all of these albums, with the exception of 2Pac and Eminem’s greatest hits collections, as well as M.C. Hammer’s.

Either way, this is a very unique milestone, since Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is a very historical double album, as it joins 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me and The Notorious B.I.G’s Life After Death as one of the greatest rap albums of all time with a double disc attached to it.
Only took 20 years for them to beat a white dude from the trailer park

To the person who posts body cam videos of black people acting all erratic and intentionally not listening to cops:

Now you have me addicted, but not in the way most would think.
Most of the body cam footage of black women acting all out of character and erratically trying to make cops’ lives worse even on camera is a lot more concerning, in the sense that if these were black men, they wouldn’t be given the kind of kid glove treatment, even if they were belligerent.

Maybe this is just me finally noticing it and not paying attention, but this kind of thing is really not something one could ignore, especially when you hear more black people bemoan and complain about how most stereotypes of black men are offensive. Yet, if the roles were reverse, most stereotypes of black women would be called out far more than them, and here in today’s media, they still get praised for being just black and women to top it off.

All I’m saying is that the “Oppressed Olympics” really is a serious thing, and it’s even more evident with these kinds of things.

3 nogs premeditated torture / burn / murder white woman for... reasons? She was most likely a coal burner based on the perps statements, she allegedly killed for being white or her SSI benefits (which is seriously NOT a lot of money) . It's very obvious but it bears repeating :"If the victim was black, there would have been hell to pay." Because the perpetrators were niggers this didn't even make the national news, I didn't even hear about this and I make a point to look for stories like this. Two of the niggers were tested and had IQ's below 50 according to standardized testing, nog #2 aka Greg William's police interview you see just how fucking dumb this nigger is, after him the next suspect is smarter but not by much, part of his speech is literally intelligible, just how fucking dumb this nigger is.

We still on this idea that blacks literally created an entire genre of music all by themselves with zero help or massive influence from all the music every non black race/culture invented?

What's next? We're still gonna pretend that "black church" is somehow anything other than just white, southern evangelical style sermons right down to the manner of speech and the music itself?

Once again, blacks have not created any form of music solely on their own. They do not own in any sort of way, shape or form any muscal styling. It's just slightly tweaked versions of something someone else, most likely white, already made. Even something like Delta Blues, arguably the most black form of blues, is just white country/folk blues music but with slavery as the main subject matter. And even that isn't unique to them considering the first slaves in America were white as well.
