I think it's more accurate to say that fujoshis are the reason Iris has been utterly memory-holed. That whole thing was signposted very hard, and I think it was fair to understand TnT's ending as Iris getting out eventually. The only reason Maya and Phoenix aren't together is due to the blight on humanity that is fujoshi.
Do fujo's really that much power in the fandom? I understand the western side is infested with them (even the English voice actors make jokes shipping Phoenix and Edgeworth), but is it really that big among the Japanese? Ultimately they are the target demographic, not Tumblrina's.I think it's more accurate to say that fujoshis are the reason Iris has been utterly memory-holed. If memory serves, it's only in the anime that anything is even remotely implied with Maya.
AA is mainly played by middle-aged women in Nipland. Literally the fujo demographic.but is it really that big among the Japanese?

Interviewer: I heard that Mr. Iwamoto also reads Boys' Love for research….Takumi: That’s just Iwamoto’s own hobby (laugh).
Inaba: Hobby and work, I think?
Iwamoto: When I learned that a lot of fans of Boys' Love supported Gyakuten Saiban, I decided to read the genre. I actually designed Max based on Boys' Love-type characters. A shirt over his exposed body, super tight low-rise jeans, stuff like that.
Inaba: I see. I’m not interested in that, so I don’t read those books.
Interviewer: Not even a peek at the books on Mr. Iwamoto’s desk…?
Inaba: Not at all. It’s Iwamoto’s precious collection, so he gets angry when you touch them (laugh). He might have two copies of everything, one for use and for his collection.
Takumi: I never knew Iwamoto had those books for research until now. So that’s where Max came from! I was so surprised when you managed to design him in so little time. That explains it!
Iwamoto: I also referenced them a bit when I designed Aiga’s rival, Amasugi Yūsaku (Ron DeLite).
Inaba: I never knew. You don’t really sense that from him.
Iwamoto: Eh? Nobody noticed I actually did research for him? (laugh)
Yea as good as the anime is, they do leave out a few crucial details or change things up for whatever reason. If memory serves, it's only in the anime that anything is even remotely implied with Maya.
Right; one would have to be an idiot or deliberately obtuse to not realize what Phoenix making eyes at her, which he never does for any other character, means.Regarding the last trial in T&T, Iris and Phoenix still have the tearful touching moment before the Not Guilty verdict, but they don't show the scene in the end credits of the game where they make cutsey eyes with each other when she's in jail.
I feel like there was definitely a shift in how direct some of the puns are. Or perhaps it's a style that they partially weened out at one point, and then started leaning back into again. Or maybe SoJ just ends up highlighting the more awkward parts.Would love to see a case where Phoenix pulls rank on another prosecutor like he did with younger Klavier in AJ. He's been at it for way too long to keep getting caught offguard by the prosecutor of the week.
Playing through Spirit of Justice again, having fucking everyone's name be a play of words is kinda off-putting and i don't know why, since this isn't new to this particular title.
She doesn't sound quite haughty enough.Btw, Verity sounds like she's voiced by a tranny. lol
Immediate issue is that she doesn't quite sound like a woman. Ironic that she had the only decent soundbite in the fanstranslation. How the turn tables. She doesn't sound quite haughty enough.

Don't you know? All games have to be bloated pieces of shit, including the "Remales/Remasters/Updates" of older games because.... reasons.I hate hate hate that the minimum requirement to play Investigations is 8 GB RAM
Why couldn't it be 4 GB? It's a dumb pixel game ffs. Same for Apollo.
I get that a better resolution does bump uo the minimum requirement but we're talking about a silly pixel game from more than a decade ago. There's no excuse to make it so bloated when og AA trilogy remake worked just fine with 4 gb RAM.Don't you know?
