I know, what I said is that I'm not suprised Polacks would be the first to care about this shit, like they care about grognardy rpg's from 30+ years ago that nobody else cares about.

I really like Patricians videos but he and his little butt-buddy PrivateSessions don`t make for great interviewers.
Probably clicked off after the 3rd of 4th time Pat shoehorned WoW into the discussion only for Ross to go "Uhm... I guess"
The petition and it´s goals aren´t that complicated. The amount of explaining and defending that Ross has to do for it is ridiculous.

Here's a funny little coincidence I've noticed:
Ross officially launched the Stop Killing Games campaign on April 2nd of this year, delaying it by a day only so it wouldn't be confused as an April Fool's joke.
On April 1st 2017, seven years prior, he posted the first video of Freeman's Mind 2, as a kind of meta April Fool's prank.
And then another seven years prior to that, on April 1st 2010, he posted the pirate April Fool's episode of Freeman's Mind!.. Dumb, I know.

Anyways, Ross was interviewed on the FUTO channel a few days ago:

I didn't expect Fatrick Tomlinson to make an appearance in this Game Dungeon episode.

New Game Dungeon dropped
https://youtube.com/watch?v=mzgeIGSVYQMThe longest one he has done so far.
Well worth the wait, easily one of the best, this one I need to watch again because it has too much cool shit in it crammed so tightly.

tl;dw: Way less gay version of Disco Elysium.

It's one of the games where the main interest in its setting which is somewhat ideal future objectivist society. Though I'll give the game credit in that it kind of tries to stick to how it would potentially work rather than the usual bad faith arguments pretty much all Objectivism in media suffers (though pretty sure splitting the family unit would be something Rand would be highly against). Ross also didn't go too hard into politics which any other Youtube reviewer would have done with a vengeance, though his "Objectivism would support letting people starve in the street if you are happy" argument is pretty what every other society does but Objectivism at least doesn't lie about. The game itself looks fine, a time limit on Adventure games is always shit, at least you could always just reload if you didn't feel like you achieved much in a location and the murder mystery is only window dressing to the setting, which is a fantastic trope when done right, so getting a non perfect ending isn't too much of a negative (at least if you know it's not important).

And while the game is already interesting enough, it has an entire separate section for unexplained background shit you need to actively work for to find it, which is also really awesome secret. Personally I think the twist is that the entire society is a recreation of past earth and what caused the society collapse and that's how you have people phasing through matter. With some luck some autist will get the entire plot of the sequel book.

do you think you and your fellow tracksuit wearers could write a complete post on him compiling his lore in english? It would make for interesting reading at least.
I'm currently recovering from two spinal surgeries (among other injuries) after falling off a deck upon the roof of a building when the bitchmade wooden railing I was leaning against unexpectedly and suddenly relieved itself of its sole duty, so recently I have been logging on to KF only infrequently on those occasions where the urge to dunk on retards overpowers the desire to catch up on vidya while enjoying the various snacks and painkillers which my wife brings to me while I still have a fairly good excuse to rest. I'll try to write something up in my spare time, though I am not convinced I am the greatest writer for the task. I would argue that I am more likely better suited to gathering the information together into an archive and then passing that on to someone else to plot and write the article. Mentally, I am more atuned to mathematics than I am to linguistics. I would actually like to attempt to convince an acquaintance to join the site as I'm pretty sure that he would know even more about him than I do, but breaching the topic of Kiwifarms to people in the real world can come across as somewhat autistic as you explain it to them, especially if they aren't a particularly close friend or lover.

Private Sessions is just such dead weight as well. Pretty amusing how he effectively admitted he just takes his opinions from whatever the latest thing he watched is.

The Phantasmagoria 2 episode has been taken down from Youtube.
A couple days ago Youtube informed me that the Phantasmagoria 2 episode of Ross’s Game Dungeon was removed due to violating their content policies, but also said I was not receiving a strike since I may not have realized it was. That’s understandable, considering how I uploaded it almost 5 years ago and gated it only for viewers age 18 and up. My theory is that it adhered to Youtube’s content standards for 18+ content in 2019, but the same video does not meet them in 2024.

In any event, I have no idea where to re-upload it for streaming, since I’m not sure any streaming service would allow it. It’s a video that strikes me as definitely R-rated content, but not pornographic, and the internet doesn’t seem to have many options for a video like that.

It’s been suggested I should censor it and re-upload it, but that video was never designed to be censored and even had dialogue to that effect, plus a major point made in that episode is that the game is so full of intense content it’s difficult to know what would have to be censored and what is acceptable.

In the meantime, I’ve uploaded a copy of the original video, so you’re free to download it, share it, and back it up. I’m unsure of how else to handle it at this time, though I’ll definitely recap all of this in a future follow-up Game Dungeon episode.
