eh, there are only so many games he can review, and honestly, considering the hoops he jumps through to get them running are mind boggling.

And then the games get a mostly undeserved bump. Martian Gothic can suck a fuck. It doesn't deserve a revival.

Again, the issue at hand has nothing to do with games being "finished" but "being able to be played long after the developers are done supporting them". Yes, Postal 4 has it's issues. It also got an update literally yesterday with the goal of addressing the main complaint of optimisation. Also, again: Postal 2 is two decades old. The fact they updated the game at all is more than what many other developers are willing to do.
Postal 4 is just evidence the developers still don't realise what made 2 so good.

Everything about Postal 4 was just a bad idea. Bad engine, bad timing, bad design, bad move to go early access, bad writing, bad coding, casting Fag Nukem to do a god-awful voice that was so unpopular they fucking patched in the other two as a bandaid.

How you fuck up a concept as simple as P2 2 I will never know.
That and actually being funny
You don't find scat (which is definitely not Mike J's fetish guys really) everywhere funny?

4 was initially conceived as a remake of 2 in a newer Unreal engine, one of the devs said once in a stream that they decided to just do a sequel as the team thought it’d generate more money, as they were practically on the brink of bankruptcy at the time. It’s pretty much the very definition of a cash grab game, but I’m glad we got that instead of a butchered P2 remake made with today’s “sensibilities” in mind. It’s nice to see them support the movement, but I’m not really expecting anything good to come directly out of them any time soon.

First, that pissbrain retard needs to actual say what needs to be fixed. Just complaining that "postal 2 am broken" without saying what is broken or how makes you look like a massive bitch and should be told to fuck off. Maybe it's because I'm a Linux user, so hearing whiny faggots complain about shit not working without giving details boils my piss, but I'd probably start telling those people to suck me good and hard through my jorts after enough time.
This rant is very funny to me. Have you actually played Postal 2 on linux? Whenever it crashes (which is very often for Paradise Lost) there's no "Unreal engine made a fucky wucky" report window with error code.

"Yeah, whenever I do [thing], the game would crash. It seems to be repeatable. If you want more details, I can give them to you."
Is it really that much harder than "game am broken me angy plz fix"?
Also, Postal 2 doesn't do "error codes" and the Critical Error popup isn't important as any information relating to your crash is saved to a logfile.
If you're going to argue with me, at least get your facts correct.

Been rewatching choice Game Dungeons since it has been a while, and it hit me that I have been watching these for nearly 11 years now, Ross Scott for over 14, since the pirate episode of Freeman's Mind. Not many people could say they have successfully made funny internet videos for over a decade as their career, and yet Ross has. Really an impressive feat looking back on it.

From the community update about this month's videochat, Ross says the next Game Dungeon will be out in a couple days. I'm guessing that all the stuff with the EU petition ended up delaying him longer than he expected, what with interviews and needing to make that FAQ video, but the wait is hopefully almost over.

Speaking of the petition, we're at nearly 300k signatures, and three countries have already passed the threshold: Sweden, Finland, and Poland. Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands are all above 90% of the way to their respective thresholds, so one more country and that requirement will be fulfilled. Everyone else is a lot farther behind, with Ireland the next closest at 63%. Still a long way to go, but for less than a month, that's huge progress.

Polacks like Game Dungeon and Polacks form a loud minority on rpgcodes. Figures.

I just want more then 2 Freeman's Mind episodes a year. Someone should feed all of Ross's speech into an AI learning software program and make the rest of the series themselves since Ross obviously doesn't want to devote time to the very thing that made him famous.
I usually have patience for Ross but it's running out. Either announce the series is dead or make more.

Ross has always been one to take his time or indefinitely delay projects, albeit to frustrating lengths. The man runs on Valve time, which is fitting considering what he is best known for. It doesn't help that he decided to start this campaign, as important as it is.

To be fair, he's said repeatedly that he doesn't really think he's the best guy for it, but he also realized that basically nobody was raising as much of a stink about it as he was. Most gamers don't seem to care that a lot of the games they play can eventually be taken from them without warning, and with no way to make them playable again, thanks to their increasing reliance on central servers. Even when people did get angry about it, like Diablo 3 requiring an internet connection even if you were playing single player, they still bought the game in droves and stopped bitching after a while, until eventually a general sense of apathy about it all set in. Companies won't change their practices, so why bother getting angry about it?

Well, I'm glad Ross did continue getting angry about it, and I'm willing to wait a bit longer for his regular content because of that. Hell, I won't deny I'm one of those apathetic gamers I mentioned (though less so the more I heard Ross talk about it), and I know for a fact I wouldn't have been as persistent as he was, so I salute the mold elemental in his quest to hopefully put an end to this retarded practice.

Lord knows there are plenty of examples out there of people delaying the stuff people want to see from them for much dumber reasons than this, so that's why I'm fine cutting him some slack.
