Law enforcement was reportedly dispatched to the premises at around 11 am local time after they received a call that a male had drowned.

Per TMZ, detectives are investigating the death as a homicide but the outlet was told that is standard procedure.

An official cause of death is unknown and it likely will not be disclosed until an autopsy and coroner’s report has been completed.

Carter rose to fame as a child star with hits like “I Want Candy” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq” and was also known for being the younger brother of Backstreet Boys Nick Carter.

His rep could not immediately be reached for comment.

It's sad. I remember making fun of him at the (tiny) catholic elementary/middle school I was in back in 6th grade, and getting in trouble with one of the nuns who thought he was another student. Makes me feel old

The Antelope Valley is a shit hole, where LA dumps it's trash. I used to joke that it the LA city council discovered that it owned Palmdale and Lancaster in the 90s-00s.

Turned an aerospace community into a cesspit of crime and drugs.

I hardly even knew anything about this guy other than the fact that some of his songs wound up in the Jimmy Neutron movie.

This poor kid had an asshole the size of the Lincoln Tunnel by the time he was old enough to get his first erection. It's no surprise he ended up like this, between the childhood sexual abuse and the family that was delighted to let the sexual abuse happen, just so long as he got ahead in the music industry.

So add Aaron Carter to the list of people who says Michael Jackson dindu nuffin'

and add that the FBI and his mom tried to get him to set him up.

This pic is from when he was 29 and he already looked like he was Charlie Sheen's older brother. Truly, don't do drugs, kids.

Now we're talking about I Want Candy, best montage of this song is from (S. Coppola's) Marie Antoinette, ironically, a scene when she and her friends are overindulging on cakes, champagne, and clothes; and we all know how that ended up for her.

That's what happens when you give children all the freedom and money they want.

34 in dog years?
79 in child star years.
