For anyone who thinks they've got a good grip on the nature of the "inner circle", consider this: Marvin and I are commonly held to be sitting on the throne, but I haven't seen any videos at all. So it ain't all you think it is.

Perfectly written.

Especially the part about how Chris solicits us far more than we do him. He calls us trolls when he wants sympathy, but functionally speaking, he views us first and foremost as customers.

And yes, I'd love to see any white knight challenge Chris's real problems at home. But that's too hard, so just like kony 2012, all they want to do is post a blurb on the internet and jerk off to the dozen or so likes it gets before deciding they've impacted the world in a great way and going home to play video games.

"Reporters" have tried to contact Marvin, myself, and others as well, numerous times over the years. Even when they're well-meaning, they seem the same to me as people who plan to write a Chris biography. And guess what? The number of Chris biographies and feel-good news reports out there remains the same to this day.

Isn't the "inner circle" on this one pretty much the guy(s) who took the video? Pretty much up to them whether or not to post it and when. From the limited description it just doesn't sound like there's anything all that interesting in it anyway.

There's (at least) two "inner circles". One is the Chris trolling one, the old PVCC with Clyde Cash and Marvin and Alec etc. This is the one @P-Logic couldn't get into.

The second inner circle is a board on here where @Rammspieler posted the unedited video which - while a selfless and laudable service to the Farms - does not contain anything to compel enduring fascination.

But more interestingly, he is one of the most autistic of Daria fanfic writers, even having his own TVTropes page on his incredibly autistic fanfiction involving a bullied self-insert who ends up fucking Daria. Note, this written by a dude in his 30s at the time.

He also responds badly to criticism on his article on the DariaWiki, which he wrote himself and is full of his dox.

So since I'm pretty sure P-Logic was bullshitting, I'm confident that she's not a reporter. Certainly not one from any noteworthy rag. Like I said, I have no idea why any non-SJW would think it necessary to report on it, given how banal the incident itself is.

Well the macing definitely brought a new audience in, while I doubt anything of substance will happen its not too out there to assume a local reporter would spot this flaming trainwreck and wanna get it out there as a space filling sob story/curiosity.
 
Chris's story is interesting - or, more specifically, the story of the circle of trolls and how they co-operated to steer his online antics. We have a lot of lolcows here. Often they'll have a Michael Snyder, or a Mary Lee Walsh, or a Clyde Cash - but how many of them actually have their own full-blown PVCC?

Yeah, I've been deliberately avoiding responding to him, even indirectly. I don't want to fuel his already overblown victim complex or feed his unwarranted sense of self-importance.

I think his post was an attempt to goad us into swarming his Facebook page. Fortunately, people here were smart enough to not take the bait. He's just a sad little man begging for attention.

Good point, but, on a certain level, we're really not all that different from any other fan site. Lots of people create celebrity-related sites (some are positive, some are more critical, like this one). Chris is a celebrity, albeit a minor one.

Of course, one of the things that sets Chris apart is the unprecedented influence some of his "fans" have had on his activities, online and otherwise. The trolling (such as it is now) is infrequent and has taken on a very different tone. Most would-be Christorians are mainly interested in information-gathering and chronicling the more interesting aspects of Chris's life. Others have genuinely tried to help him (such as when a group of us collaborated to convince Chris to remove his taint piercing, which had obviously become infected). There have also been instances where the so-called trolls have prevented some truly malicious and mean spirited individuals from getting access to Chris. (The whole thing is really pretty convoluted, but that's the gist.)
