7/23/2016 DNC Email Leaks - Confirming what we already knew

20,000 emails were leaked from the Democratic National Committee.
The emails show that the DNC has been shilling for Hillary from the very start, including collusion between several media outlets (what a fucking surprise).
The current DNC chair is refusing to speak at the national convention after this.
Twitter has reportedly made attempts to censure the #DNCLeaks hashtag.
I thought this was a big enough thing to make a separate thread on, merge this with the general politic thread if it's not enough.

Yeah, but his economics are complete lunacy and voting for him isn't going to be doing much other than potentially helping Trump get elected (the man terrifies me on a visceral level).

Either way we're fucked. Best case scenario from my own personal viewpoint that I can imagine is Clinton getting elected and than forced out of office through a combination of mass unrest and political infighting. And that's hardly a "good" option, let's be real. Nor will that happen. Though I could easily see her being a one term president if the GOP gets its shit together.

I suspect this election will see the polls rapidly swing back and forth at an alarming rate. These are two candidates who cant seem to go a week without creating a new scandal.

More likely that's convention bump and we won't see the real impact of the leak until a week or two from now.

Post convention bump. Happens every election cycle. This shit hasn't been out in the open long enough for there too be good polls reflecting it, I think. At any rate it's unwise to trust polls this early. After the DNC you'll probably see Clinton get a similar increase, assuming the Berniebros don't cause a ruckus. After that they're probably going to swing back and forth until around late september or october. You'll get a clearer picture after the debates (grab a six pack and a carton of cigarettes for that shit, you're gonna need it)

Though for what it's worth most recent polls I've shown that factor in Jill Stein and Johnson show Clinton with a pretty comfortable lead, and the electoral map favors her in a lot of ways.

Normally I'd just laugh this off as yet another time people don't give a shit about Clinton Crime but this might go far to keep the Bernie fans from getting out to vote.
