i don't have any names or specifics. i only really dealt with /lgbt/. this was around late 2013 to early 2014. i still post there, albeit infrequently however.
the other mods seemed nice at first but quite a few of them had fucked up points of view and a little too much ego. especially /a/'s guys. i was the only real mod for /lgbt/ at the time, not long after i left they got some real wacko who i think is still running the place. they've been known to moderate mtfg especially heavily, with a focus on getting rid of posts that involve posting photos of yourself. i always figured they were probably some hon offended that others passed better.

only a little. they were generally cooler than the others though. everyone was laidback at the outset but they were a little more...outgoing? in retrospect, i feel like they were just very comfortable in their roles. this was also before gamergate, so idk what they'd be like now.

/mtfg/ is up there with neo-nazi/alt-right circlejerks as one of the places that young men who feel depressed and alienated should absolutely not go. They do a lot to pressure men to transition as quickly as possible, and it's a very dangerous mindset to fall into. Triptrannies are a hotbed of high-level autism. Even prior to /lgbt/, the most notorious tripfags were often trannies, especially on boards like /k/ and /g/. I'm most familiar with the /g/ triptrannies myself (especially the ones that hung out in the /g/-adjacent IRC channels in the early 2010s), although most of them have since moved on to even more autistic pastures (like the Doom modding community).
I dunno what it is about this particular demographic that makes them so inclined to use tripcodes.
