It's so strange, with the state of the catalog, you'd expect the site to be unmoderated. Yet there still are mods around somehow.
I can confirm this.
Throughout the 2010's I'd visit /fit/ sometimes, and every time I did, I'd end up spending a lot of time reading threads. It was never my home board, but I was very fond of it. It was fun and informative, all at the same time, with its own distinct culture.
Since I decided to get fit recently, I started visiting it again. What I found was incredibly sad. Not only the board had become slower than it's ever been, the post quality dropped immensely. Basically, the average post is just cheap, stale ragebait, where the poster acts as aggressively stupid and contrarian as possible.
One thread in particular, CBT (Current Body Thread, where you're supposed to post pictures of your own body), has apparently got taken over by what I can only describe as mentally ill losers, who turned it into a dumping ground for their /qa/ tier nonsense. Take a look:
It's been like this since I started browsing /fit/ again a couple months ago, and I got bothered enough to make a thread complaining about it.
I imagined my thread would get noticed by moderation eventually and deleted, but at least so would the off-topic nonsense in CBT.
And sure enough, I got banned, but as of this post, every single post I complained about is still up, including ones advertising a discord server. I used to think the board was just abandoned, but now it seems they actually want it to be this way.
Some posts/threads are still OK, but, overall, the entire board is a shadow of its former self. I think the highlight of the last few months was SIR, author of many great comics, making a small appearance:

Seems like even him doesn't want to let go. Throughout late 2000's to around mid 2010's, as far as I'm concerned, 4chan was the coolest website on the internet. Seeing what it has become actually hurts.
