However, things reached a new low in the thread yesterday, as gore was spammed for hours on end, mods proved they were in the thread by deleting far more innocuous posts (people have also gotten bans merely for REPORTING the illegal shit these cretins spam in the past), but leaving the gore up. More and more people started to point this out, which they were almost all banned for, until the NOOOOOTICING started to break containment, and finally, after multiple hours, the gore was all deleted (though the schizos resumed posting almost immediately) while anyone calling it out actually received a ban.

Tendies are pathetic and the mods are all confirmed Nintenyearolds so of course they give them round the clock protection.

Half of the generals on /a/ and /v/ are practically discord tier anyway.

What general isn't at this point? I'd probably not care too much if they weren't such an active fetid stink on whatever board is unlucky enough to host them. I quit after the only board I cared for, /x/, had regular threads infected by gimmickposters from the discord chatroom that is the Nobody General. Can't imagine how bad the stealthporn threads on /v/ are now as well, and that was partially because /trash/ imploded with actual discord drama and everyone refugee'd away. Maybe the site would be half usable if they ditched the anonymity so you could just filter anyone engaging in discord.com/4chan #general-chats.

I remember people kept saying that anonymity meant that you could just be unfiltered with people and say exactly what you're thinking, but I think the other side of that is retarded mouthbreathers can disrupt entire boards with minimal coordination and the average user has no way of filtering them out or avoiding them. Evading 4chan bans is also trivial, so there is no way to keep retards or even outright criminal posters out. Meanwhile, if someone behaves like a retard on here, I can easily avoid them. They also can't just unplug their router and go back to spamming CSAM.

Anonymity requires a high trust society to work. If you don't rangeban half the world you will have browns shitting everything up.

The problem is anonymous image boards (and their lesser known text-only board counterparts) were created by and meant for civilized people capable of behaving themselves, even when discussing "taboo" or grey area subjects. Image boards as we think of them were created and popularized by the Japanese, and Western image boards had their heyday when it was mostly just the first world on the Internet. Certainly, anons would really get up to some antics at times between 2004 and 2010, but it wasn't the cesspool it would become later.

The fact of the matter is thirdies ruin every online space they find. People old enough to remember when Brazilians were the most annoying browns online probably reminisce like those were the good old days, considering how much worse the street shitter menace is today.

This video explains exactly why 4chan (and most of the rest of the internet) is the way it is today.

/vg/ is one of the worst things that happened to the site. It's not that having a dedicated space to discuss a certain topic is bad in itself but the lack of moderation and quality control has ruined that concept entirely. I just checked several random generals in the catalog and 95% of what I saw was either softcore porn, waifu sperging, epic 4chan culture ritualposting spam and internal drama. No one seems to be talking about the actual games and most posters seem to shout out single sentences into the void. What even is the point of that board anymore? It's clearly not about video games.

containment
This reason never made sense to me, instead of dealing with the cancer when it began they welcomed it and gave a place to grow, essentially signaling that shitting up the website is fine as long as enough people are doing it at the same time. On top of that any potential new user will not be aware that this is a countermeasure, which means as time progresses new users will contribute to the development of the cancer, believing that this is the way things are supposed to be.

initially generals did host game discussion since they were about LOL and ME in their prime years. They didn't expect KS general # 595093 (already lost count twice lmao) to be the final domino.

Alarm!

Judeo-Indian agents have inflitrated /v/ in a mass libel campaign. The targets being the shimmering Aryan gemstones that are Wolverine (2026) and Zelda (some upcoming remake I think)
OP post for context. It's clear that no one could organically dislike this. Look at the VISUAL FIDELITY!

/v/ is unironically a better place for general discussion of a franchise. I swear everyone on /vg/ is such a retard

A /his/ namefag is going full navy seal copypasta.
Q (and L) level clearance is used in the Department of Energy. The primary restriction is access to top-secret nuclear technology, like weapon construction, isotope acquisition, enrichment, etc. (I don't quite recall what makes L different). The thing that 99% of people with Q clearance do is research with nuclear materials, not 1337 OPSEC level 00perat0r.
