What happened is we had 14 years of Conservative super majority rule. The Conservatives had free rein to do what ever they wanted yet kept pandering to left/far left the entire time or their own insiders with business deals and insider trading. They would drop a few social issues here and there including the whole trans stuff (which they only did after multiple rapes and the tavistock report) to try and appease it's voting base.

After dozens of controversies, 5 prime minsters in 4 years (4 of which weren't even elected) and inviting almost the entirety of the third world we all came together and decided that we should instead vote even harder left and vote in Labour who already made it very clear that they will double down on almost everything or remove any of the social issue changes such as the anti tranny stuff. All because it "punishes the Torries" as the country has convinced it's self that their are only 2 parties, regardless of the others policy.

So this goes beyond voting in Biden for a second round. It would be like thinking Biden isn't left wing enough and voting in Bernie Sanders just to "show it to the democrats".
Well, that's... ...depressing.

Thanks for the explanation at least.

In fairness Party of Women put out a pamphlet that was the equivalent of a YWNBAW shitpost along with some uncomfortable facts and shoved it into various houses across the country. They may well consider that be money well spent if they got zero votes.

Think of it like this. Tories are a deadbeat dad who only occasionally sobers up enough to do anything helpful. After years of putting up with him you scream "fuck you, I'm going to live with mom" who you've been talking to online and seems to really have gotten herself together.
Then you head in through her front door, duck the first flung bottle and immediately remember, "oh shit, she's the mean drunk." Unfortunately it's a bit too late to run.

Most of the country is standing at the door in blissful ignorance still. The rest of us are putting on padding and getting ready for the abusive parent rather than the neglectful one.

So from the outside looking in as a stupid American, did the UK citizens see what was happening in their country and decide to vote even further left?
Starmer got less votes than Corbyn in 2019.

They mostly decided to not vote 'cause who cares if the centrist party that won't do anything about immigration is replaced by the other centrist party that won't do anything about immigration.

The hilarious collapse of Honest John will never stop being funny.

However:

We have a bigger problem. A fucking smug ginger.

UKIP and now Reform or any similar right leaning party will always have the same issues in England.

1) the big parties will very motivated to crush them and avoid ligitimizing them whenever possible

2) The media will immediately tar them with 'isms" and then find 2-3 candidates who have bad rap sheets to back it up. Party chooses to tell people to piss off (delights the fans but scares off the normies afraid they'll be called racists) or decides it's valid critique and clears house (might attract normies but likely not)

3) If they still look a threat. Big 2 will tell you not voting for them split the vote and that's why you will get a Labour/Tory MP you didn't want after all.

The reason for result is complex but in general Conservatives totally misunderstood why they were given a majority and I don't think they'll ever understand it. People wanted them to stop faffing about and get Brexit done and do what Tories usually do. But then they got bogged down in trying to be a center right party with all the infighting between 1922 types and moderate backbenchers.

Also Boris marrying that newspaper bitch and letting her fuck up his cabinet and trying to run things herself as well. The whole mess with lockdown too.

Reform got 2% more of the votes than lib dems, but 62 seats less than them. Fucked past the post indeed.
Reform needs to address the concerns of people living in specific areas in the next five years, right now they're a broad populist movement with appeal in little to no specific areas throughout the country
I honestly recommend people who are concerned with the direction of the country to factor in the possibility of moving country within the next 10 years if things get sufficiently bad.
Ok but like where though?

They could get a good bloc going in the north but they need an actual leader. I'm just waiting for Farage to get bored and go do something else. Again.

Any right wing party in the UK simply needs to stop caring about what the left or media has to say about them. I've spoken with too many reform candidates who insisted they were a centrist party and how they weren't racist. All things pushed at them by with media and opposition which they really should disregard.

Spend more time talking about policy and less time beating off ist and phobe accusations, their never going to stop calling you it.
(I have other gripes with reform but it's as good as we've got for now)

I can't work out why the negress wing of the party hold her as some sacred idol of their movement, surely she's a terrible person to represent what a black woman Labour MP is, but she still somehow holds sway over them all.
I also used to wonder why Lefties didn't have the best cherrypicked examples for their Muhfirrmative Action politicians, like they do in the ((media)). Well-spoken Obama/Fresh Prince rocket surgeons, instead of people who can barely speak.

But if you're deploying the Spiteful Mutants / Coalition of the Fringes against healthy/white society, you need the most dysfunctional and resentful people possible. So the bald obese Womyn of Calories, vengeful Somalis, and mentally ill aren't an unfortunate accident, they're the target audience.

Looking at UK, France and the rest of the world feels like everybody is doing spin offs of Weimar Republic circa 1927.
The leading parties are at the end of the day just spiteful corrupt career politicians, they just utilize globo homo and communism as a leverage to keep the grift going. Thus they piss of both the left and right wing populous. While the opposition are just spineless cowards that hope they can get in power so they can also steal shit. There is this clear void that's not being filled. A demand not being met. A wish not granted. If only some enterprising man would seize this opportunity, fight his fight. He could change history.

They did it too themselves, all the infighting and backstabbing was basically laid bare between their musical chairs premierships of useless compromise candidates. It doesn't convey stability to the proles. That they couldn't stabilise themselves from their tailspin, despite how obviously bad it looked, is proof of that. I do think that Boris being effectively turfed out over a party was a bit much, but it just showed that these people always have their knives ready. And I'm frankly done with stand-up politicians now after a decade. They are grotesquely out of touch with reality, a party of city bankers, and their obvious mismanagement has handed a handy majority to Labour for probably another decade.

Christ only knows what they'll do now they're in-charge. Try to shore up their muslim votes with hand-outs? Soothe over a probably centrist economic policy with token gestures to the progressive left that get's the rainbows flags waving about how much change is happening?

Seeing the SNP pummeled was the only decent out come of this.
