Hello,

I’m emailing on behalf of Netsafe about a complaint reported to us under the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015. The complaint is about a post on your blogsite dated 8 July 2016:https://kiwifarms.is/threads/troy-rangi.22252/

Netsafe has reviewed the complaint using the responsibility we have under the Act to help people with online bullying, harassment and abuse. We have determined that the blog content may be causing harm and ask for your assistance.

As the owner of this blog there are some steps you might want to take in the next 48 hours to help resolve this complaint including:

1. Moderating or deleting the post/comment if you think it is inappropriate; or

2. Forwarding this email to the author of the content and asking them to contact me about their options.

It would be appreciated if you/the author could confirm what action you have taken to help minimise the harm caused to the person who made the complaint.

If Netsafe is unable to resolve this complaint with you, then the person who made the report has the option to go to the District Court. This may result in court ordered action.

You can find out more about the legislation here: http://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/public/2015/0063/latest/whole.html

If you have any questions or would like more information, please let me know.

Regards,

Tegan

Hello Tegan,

I'm afraid that the Kiwi Farms is not actually from New Zealand and there is no action you may take to enforce a New Zealand judgement.

As an expert on the subject, I am sure you are aware of what safe harbor provisions are and how you may not hold webmasters liable for content posted by individuals. The Kiwi Farms is not a blog, it is a forum, and as stated in its terms of service and at the bottom of every page, we do not pretend to own the content posted there. Your endeavors are misguided and you should instead target those who own the content.

Happy New Years,

Troy is the one harassing kids to poop themselves for his amusement

According to their website they'll work with the victim and the bully. Who'll bite the bullet and attend a counseling session?
They're gonna send their elite troops and round each and every one of us to their trolling rehabilitation camps.

REMEMBER: LEAVE THE LAST BULLET FOR YOURSELF

Why would this moron want to remind everyone of the giant collection of videos of him pissing himself and being a pedo?

Lorin: "We're not in New Zealand, fuck off."

Please keep us posted if she sends more email your way.

It sounds like Troy Rangi filled out a complaint form on his own. That's the only way I can imagine Netsafe getting the details almost completely wrong.

I understand that Tegan could only act on information provided and that it was appropriate for Lorin to restrict the topic of his message to addressing the items raised in the initial communication. But it would be nice if there was some way to make Netsafe notice that the "damage" consists of warning the public about a grown man soliciting children to make fetish videos.
