That would make a lot of sense. As an officer of the court he might be ethically bound to inform her of a potential conflict.
I keep forgetting this phrase about that just appearance of impropriety is enough for a recusal.
 
I think Nick should blame Ralph for this outcome. If I was a judge on a new case and the old judge tells me that a pig monster showed up and stank up the bench I wouldn't want to have an Omnibussin' 2 either.

I pointed out just yesterday that would have been an exercise in futility. The arrest warrant is clearly and obviously facially valid and it isn't even borderline. It lays out more than adequately the basis for probable cause for the purpose of finding illegal drugs. The Franks hearing was really the only way to rebut that.

I thought Nick might try (and he still might) to exclude the evidence in some pretrial motion like a motion in limine, although I can't see any reason for that unless there's some silver bullet in the bodycam video (there are no silver bullets). However, the court seems to have slammed the door in his face on that one by ruling everything he didn't raise in the omnibus is waived. That may be the most brutal part of this ruling.

The judge basically said enough of your bullshit, Balldo Man, we're moving forward.

the video where nick is arguing against his own take on the video is very funny, but the rest of it was pretty good.

From the other lawyers takes and the little I know it feels like the three options nick has is double down on corruption and try and shame the county into dropping it (insane), go to trial and try and blame it all on Aaron (stupid and risky) and essentially take a deal, claim responsibility and save his wife and side ho by taking all responsibility. (ego blow, but you look the best in the long run and the safest option) the smartest thing nick can do is take the deal and try and be the hero for the two women. people remember the begginings of things and the end of things, if you have a good ending you can make psople forget most of the middle bit.

There is a small part of me that really really wants him to go to trial but for the kids sake atleast I hope he spares the two women and really pushes for bettering himself. For gods sake take whatever deal you can..

Nick made the Judge watch the full length and breadth of Exibit 10. Which means he watched the "Judge Pussy Liquor" rant himself, first hand. I'm betting he let her know. He might have been ethically required to inform her that she had that potential conflict time bomb out there while she was still hearing related cases. As always Nick is his own worst enemy.
