Why do they even bother to keep that piece of shit game going? what benefit do they have from trying to salvage a disaster of a game?Did you guys know that Avengers came out during Deus Ex's 20th anniversary, and Eidos didn't bother to acknowledge the anniversary at all? It's bad enough to have MD's sequel canned in favor of that disaster, but to have it completely overshadow the anniversary sure felt like salt in the wound.
That's too bad, good thing I already own the original on Steam.Directors Cut. Evidently the original didn't have the issues but you can't find it anywhere. There is far too much stuttering.
And like I said there's no way you could make a game about conspiracy theories in today's climate and do it justice. It’s probably for the best that Eidos Montreal were relegated to being a support studio on that terrible Avengers game after Mankind Divided underperformed because the Deus Ex franchise was heading in the direction of being a micro transaction riddled live-service.
Literally as soon as they said Kamala Khan was going to be a part of it I knew it was going to be a failure. Why do they even bother to keep that piece of shit game going? what benefit do they have from trying to salvage a disaster of a game?
they've done everything they can to salvage it but it's still a disaster, just with more lipstick on it.
Play Diving Cybermancy, MSC, S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, Vampire Masquerade, Cruelty Squad, Metro series, and Far Cry 2. All very good games and definitely worth playing.I've played most of the well known ones like the system shock and prey series, but there are always pc games out there I've never heard of. With immersive sims not being particularly prevalent idk if perhaps there are some indie games or ones currently in development to look for.
They still have to fulfill their obligation to Spider-Man's exclusivity deal, and maybe Marvel doesn't want to admit failure yet (after all, how many Captain Marvel reboots have there been?). Personally, I think they'd be way better off scuttling that game and focusing on Deus Ex and Tomb Raider instead, those IPs can't be nearly as expensive to work on as Avenger's was.Why do they even bother to keep that piece of shit game going? what benefit do they have from trying to salvage a disaster of a game?

Dammit Eidos, We never asked for this. They still have to fulfill their obligation to Spider-Man's exclusivity deal, and maybe Marvel doesn't want to admit failure yet (after all, how many Captain Marvel reboots have there been?). If nothing else, it's a bittersweet feeling to see the game that put Deus Ex on ice become such a disaster.
Neither did Valve acknowledge Half-Life's anniversary in 2018.I've enjoyed both Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, I would've loved a remake of the first for the anniversary.

I know, but at least they've paid the price for fucking Deus Ex over. They really should've made a sequel to MD instead.Dammit Eidos, We never asked for this.
You could probably also count Cruelty Squad and My Summer Car.
I gave this a try but my god, this game runs horribly. I like the ESL-kino and don't mind a little jank, but holy fuck I could not get this game to work properly for the life of me.
They should have made a sequel to Human Revolution instead. Mankind Divided was such a disappointment compared to HR.I know, but at least they've paid the price for fucking Deus Ex over. They really should've made a sequel to MD instead.
Fuck 'em. Went with Tong, and crashed the system with hopefully many survivors. Can't have freedom with centralized control. Just look at what's happening now and how bad it is (Wuhan Flu, Big Tech Censorship), and imagine a world where things are unimaginably worse.Alright boys, time for the ultimate question that any self respecting Deus Ex player knows by heart...
Which ending did you choose, and why was it Helios?
any other Immersive Sim games floating under the radar that I should look into?
Helios, because it seemed like by the 2050s humanity wasn't doing a very good job, so might as well give an AI a chance.Alright boys, time for the ultimate question that any self respecting Deus Ex player knows by heart...
Which ending did you choose, and why was it Helios?
Helios, all the other endings just seemed like they would lead to an eventual return of the dystopia the game depicts.Alright boys, time for the ultimate question that any self respecting Deus Ex player knows by heart...

For me it was when they mentioned there'd be "loot" and "gear". Words that now make me groan.Literally as soon as they said Kamala Khan was going to be a part of it I knew it was going to be a failure.
Or at least finish the cliffhanger of a plot from Mankind Divided. The Czech Rep. setting was cool and immersive but it didn't feel like the globe trotting conspiracy you find yourself in Human Revolution. They should have made a sequel to Human Revolution instead. Mankind Divided was such a disappointment compared to HR.
When I first played it, I went with the Tong ending, but whenever I replay it, I now choose Helios. I guess I became more cynical.Fuck 'em. FTFY.Think of all the money they stood to make and they intentionally cratered that with Wokeness, it's fucking hilarious how shitty the modern climate is for any creative project out there.
Seems to be the theme of Eidos' Deus Ex games. HR was also blatantly unfinished when it came out. The game was still a blast and I think it holds up even to the likes of the original DE in places, but it's one of gaming's biggest "what if"s. Just imagine an Upper Hengsha hub... now that would have been amazing, the contrast between the shitty, dystopian Lower Hengsha and the super-clean iPod-design of Upper Hengsha (which would be undeniably equally as dystopian, just in different ways).I'm still upset that Mankind Divided was an incomplete game
