The root of this game's problems, besides the faggy writing, aesthetics, concept, etc. is that it's yet another attempt at making a quirky JRPG without doing something about the core problem of JRPGs having really shitty gameplay. Earthbound itself suffers from this problem and faggots like the dev think people will tolerate yet another "spam attack, heal sometimes" battle system (I mean, they do, or else Chrono Trigger wound't still be showing up in top 10 lists but YIIIIIIK is more tedious than most and the presentation sucks).

Shit, I forgot about this game. I wanted it but got turned off by a preview where the writing overexposed everything in an attemp to be deep and the protagonist was hipster as fuck in the allegedly 90s setting.

Did they ever released the promised vita port? That was the last thing I heard about this game, other that it got smashed by most critics.
