I will never understand why people are willing to spend thousands on cheap-quality jewellery from overpriced luxury brands that aren't even made from real gold/silver/gemstones/whatever and only buy it because its Versace. I really can't justify spending $1,500+ on a necklace that's made from brass only because its name brand. if I'm going to be spending that much I at least want it to be made from real gold, regardless of how nice some jewellery from luxury brands may look.
Also unrelated but I just don't want to doublepost, but the one breed of consoomer I don't get are the Pokémon fans. For every release or decision Game Freak has made since Sword and Shield, I always see the fans always nitpick at tiny details, complain about how lazy Game Freak is, bitch about how greedy TPC has become, say they're going to boycott the company, etc. only for them to end up buying the games they've been complaining about anyway, bitch again despite playing 100+ hours, and repeat this cycle of whining and consooming with each new game release.

i mean, keep in mind how absolutely massive the fanbase is. even with how titanic the butthurt can be seen, it's only a fraction of the total playerbase.
As for why even the complainers go back, it's like a home cooked meal that slowly has moved from meat and veggies to just veggies. You may not like the changes made, but you're still emotionally attached to it, and if you go buy something from a store, all you can think of is how different it is from the home cooked one.

It looks like fucking star trek TNG instead of star wars. Star wars pre-disney had a very specific aesthetic to ship interiors that this does not match at all. Shits supposed to be glossy white, brightly lit, and sterile looking with a hint of grime. Some rooms were grey and matte but those rooms still had the same extremely simplistic "space station" look to them. All this matte finish greys with colored trims on walls and shit with unnecessary greebling literally looks like star trek.
