The people who scream most about ableism I think are weirdly jealous of people who are blind and use screen readers if they’re not virtue signaling constantly with image descriptions.

People who are blind have an honest to god disability that actually interferes with everyday life, can be medically proven, they can get assistance from others if they want to (but every blind person I’ve met has been very independent and hates when people assume they need help), they have real advocacy and resources- I don’t think most of them would blind themselves or anything (even though Kelly’s anti leg saga makes me question that), but I’ve seen a weird resentment with munchies when they’re confronted with someone that actually has a disability.

Part of the reason I believe that both Allison and the girl in the neck collar wanted that sub taken down was the documented inconsistencies in their claims, as well as people in the CI community and/or disabled people actively giving context to why what both of those munchies claim were blatantly false. Based on personal experiences, as people who had those conditions or struggles, and understood route-to-testing, treatments, and the limitations of the illnesses.
