Now that's some CRITICAL cringe.

They really are going all out with the "how do you do fellow kids" factor. Also it looks like the rabbit girl has tits and a midriff in this scene. Would be pretty hilarious if it turned out that her design in this scene was completely redone just to win back the furfags.
Warner do you want Lola to be covered up and less "sexualized " to make her "progressive, " or do you want her with tits and a midriff in the hopes that furries will buy tickets to space jam 2? You can't have it both ways.

Hell the first Looney Tunes (Merrie Melodies?) were just straight up music videos with just the barest semblance of a plot
Just like the worst kind of Silly Symphony. Even the similar name was meant to let the viewer know of the similarity. Both of them peaked when they moved past the whole "random inanimate objects/beings and animals dancing in an area" phase, mind you.

The evolution of American cartoons often had to follow something, You could certainly see this pattern in the 30's.

The golden age of animation really was a decade of innovation and breakthroughs. Wether it was Disney creating the multiplane camera, fleschier mixing live action with animation for out of the inkwell or rotoscoping cab calloway or warner moving on from ripping of disney to devlop the looney tunes.

What's new, innovative, or different about Space jam 2? It's just another formulaic "crossover" that cares more about what references they can cram in to pander to people's nostalgia while only just barley focusing on any kind of story.

CHICAGO, July 6, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- It's game time for Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Taz and others as the Happy Meal gets a Tune-up for the first time since 1996! Starting today, fans can enjoy special Happy Meal toy versions of Looney Tunes characters from the upcoming animated/live-action event film Space Jam: A New Legacy, in U.S. theaters and on HBO Max July 16.

Each box – uniquely designed to celebrate the film – will include one of 12 different characters dunking, dribbling and more. As always, this Happy Meal will be available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide while supplies last.

And speaking of supplies… a little (Tweety) bird let us know some fans were asking for another shot to get the McDonald's x Diamond Supply Co. x Space Jam: A New Legacy merch we dropped last weekend. So, we're giving them two ways to enter for the chance to win the top-selling item from the collection. Simply add a Happy Meal to your order via McDonald's App* (July 6-12) or McDelivery with UberEats** (July 13-15) and you'll be entered for a chance to score the limited-edition basketball jersey!

For those who still can't get enough of McDonald's x Space Jam: A New Legacy style, select merch from the collection – like the custom sweatshirt and t-shirt – will also be featured on Golden Arches Unlimited for purchase beginning in early July, while supplies last.

We're excited to continue McDonald's Space Jam legacy as we help the whole family make new memories together with the Tune Squad.

You have to like how McDonalds wants to ignore how it's going to mostly be CGI garbage with that art. They knew what would've been better.

Even the guy announcing the Toon Squad sounds like he don't even want to be there. Dude did one take of the line, walked before they could get him to do another, and nobody else was willing to do it

Well, can you really blame him? Doing voice work to advertise for this kind of crap must be a soul sucking affair. It is the type of filler work a voice actor does to pay bills and little else, not even worth mentioning on a resume.

This is a little unfair, because it's a common cartoon expression, but I've also been conditioned to spot it. When I look at cartoon Lebron on the Happy Meal box, I think of this.

I'm so conflicted I want to support more 2d/animated films, but this looks like a soulless flex of Warner IPs, and half of it isn't even traditionally animated anyway.
