People like Jazz Jennings will never 'regret their transition' because they are too deep. Also something humans are terrible at in general..Introspection, Self-Reflect, Create change. Most people die due to their terrible habits and continue down destructive paths. The social media algorithms that a majority of the first world population deals with makes this even tougher. Troons are naturally addicted to their social media for validation because they are suffering from mental illness and have found an outlet/through the 'trans' community.
So, they have tried to take it over and they did in fact manage to temporarily take it over after that ban and were ultimately successful at removing some of the less worshipful mods.

In 2016, a friend of mine, her lesbian partner, and her lovely teenage son were stabbed to death in East Oakland. The suspected murderer, an acquaintance of the women, was found on the property, covered in blood, and having attempted to burn the house. She allegedly began confessing to the crime when found.
The media was nearly silent on the case despite some rather sensational details-- the alleged perpetrator is a well-known trans activist, a former high school teacher who sued 20 yrs ago for the right to keep her job while transitioning. The story has circulated mainly on TERF sites, which I want no part of.
She's still being held with no movement on the trial as far as I can tell. A lot of people are sad and angry about this tragedy; they have what seemed to be a clear-cut case.

What’s even weirder is that’s Lucas Hedges next to him in the boots. Dorfman is a nobody but Hedges has an Oscar nomination for Manchester by the Sea, and was in Lady Bird and Three Billboards. He’s a total closet case but generally well regarded. Seems like a pap walk publicity stunt.
This is a new thing I’ve noticed: MTFs who wear literally zero makeup. There’s one I see posting ‘progress pics’ all the time and it’s like...do you think you’re going to pass like that? Or they’ll put on eyeliner and lipstick and that’s it. No makeup that would help make their face look less male.

Not looked into it, but since I enjoy trying to puzzle out how statistics are finagled, I'd add that on top of what others have mentioned --that accurately tracking the number of detransitioners is virtually impossible, and the detransers who do try to speak out being memoryholed-- the fact the barrier to entry has now dropped so low that you simply have to identify as trans in order to be 'valid' would allow any bad-faith actors conducting surveys to massively inflate the number of trans people who exist, in turn drastically reducing the percentage of those who actually committed to the bit then realised what a big fucking mistake it was.
