Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

It's not "Emancipation Day" in any real sense. The day does not commemorate the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation or the date it entered into force, and the Proclamation only emancipated some of the slaves anyway. Juneteenth is simply the day on which the Union began enforcing the Proclamation in Texas. Slavery continued to exist in Union states until December 1865. Juneteenth doesn't commemorate anything of national import.

Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with all this free time tomorrow.

It was already torn down and rebuilt in the 1950s, but it's unlikely the workers were sufficiently diverse. In all the pictures I've seen they are stale, pale, and male. Probably straight, too.

Im excited for this being a federal holiday. The riots will overshadow anything like we've ever seen. You can say im 'overly optimistic' for content but lets remember...

There are always violent weekends in cities. The federal government has just given a reason for a small subclass of people to celebrate. ???. Profit.

The White House was not built by slaves. It was rebuilt after the war of 1812, by which time laws had already been passed to ban the use of slave labor on any Federal project.
I mean, just look at the thing. It was built by the nation's finest master craftsmen, not a bunch of illiterate rock breakers.

In other word, that's just another liberal lie that doesn't even make sense on the surface of things.
