I love how every person who gets all up on the appropriation of hair thing conveniently shuts the fuck up when you show them evidence that Celts and Vikings both wore dreadlocks and practiced tattooing.

No wait they don't, they just say that just cause some white people did it, doesn't mean it's part of "white culture", cause all white cultures are the same to them.
The excuses I hear is "it was different" and that the practice temporarily died out when the Christians took over so it's no longer part of their (white) culture any more.

Anyone who tells you how you can style your hair can be safely told to fuck the hell off.

If you are an adult, you do not even put up with bullshit like that from your own mom.

In this issue of Everyday Feminism, the comic artist does a little too much LSD and hallucinates a race of creepy doll people who are lectured about menstruation by a magical talking uterus.

That uterus looks more like Kirby with longer arms that are raised up and no feet.

The real lesson here is that you don't need to draw people who are more detailed than a Lego figure because SJWs will accept anything so long as they can fap to its progressiveness.

I like how the first point they try to get across is that not all who menstruate are women. Because if there is one thing you need to prioritize when explaining to little girls how periods work, that's transgenderism.

I'm sure trans men love being reminded about their ability to menstruate.

Reading that article just made me mad.

I thought one of the main concepts behind feminism is the freedom to have personal choice- as in, being allowed to dress as you damn well please without judgement. But what, does that concept suddenly not apply when it's under the guise of "cultural appropriation", despite that the celtics used dreadlocks as well?

its people like that who make me feel embarassed to be a feminist at times.

Then you're going to loooooove this one. It even explains why Celtics don't count.

Why do dumb things like hairstyles have to be segregated?
Why stop at hairstyles? How about we have separate schools? Separate restaurants? Separate bathrooms? Separate water fountains? POCs are clearly seconds away from being triggered to death. They just can't handle being around white folks for even a second, so the only hope is to separate the races permanently and intractably. Look how well it's working on the Reservations!

The sad part is more and more people are actually listening to this shit. All those years the Civil Rights Marchers took their stand won't mean shit if the first thing we do with a free society is to fight to lock ourselves right back in cages.

Edit:

This is really spergy of me, but what's really been getting to me about Everyday Feminism is that every single article they write is full of at least a dozen little things anyone with half a brain could sperg for hours about. I'm just stunned at how much stupidity can be caked on by these people.

Take the white bitch who wrote the article about cutting off her dreadlocks:

Everyday Feminism said:
While I did run into the occasional asshole on the street who called me a “filthy dyke,” my whiteness led people to read me as “quirky” and “alternative”.

I wasn’t followed around by security guards every time I went into a store. I wasn’t hassled by the cops for hanging out with my friends on street corners. I wasn’t hauled off to jail on the presumption that I was a gang member just because of my nonconventional appearance.
Bitch, racist cops and white power gangsters don't first look to see if black folks have inappropriate hairstyles before harassing them. They don't even check to see if they're really black. They act by glance alone. That's why they're racist.

In case you haven't noticed, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, and Trayvon Martin all had the same haircut as the most powerful man in the Free World. David Duke couldn't give less of a shit about your stupid hair you selfish cunt.

Everyday Feminism said:
Yes, it’s true that dreadlocks are worn in all different cultures around the world, but the context for which they are worn in the US is explicitly rooted in black folks’ (Rastafarians specifically) symbolic resistance to white supremacy.

That's funny. I actually studied a bit about Rasta* history. They wear dreads due to the misinterpretation of passages from Leviticus and Numbers, and the book was referring to white people. Sure, the descendants of the Solomon Dynasty who ruled Ethiopia at the time were black, but the Davidic Jews were white back when they were in Israel at the time.

* How dare you use the phrase "Rastafarian"! Check your privilege, shitlord!

You are an oppression tourist – a white girl who always has an escape route back to the open arms of white supremacy once she is through rebelling. You can cut them off anytime.

To pretend otherwise or assume yourself a martyr is misguided and offensive.
So just because there's the possibility that someone can change their mind and recuse what they hold dear -- not even that they're thinking about it but just the fact that it can in theory happen -- now has to dictate people's behavior?

Do these people have any idea where that train of logic ends? By that standard, you shouldn't leave parents alone with their children because even the best parents could -- in theory -- perform acts of physical or sexual abuse. They have the limbs and organs for it, don't they?

Just for a little fun, type anything that pisses you off into the searchbar for Everyday Feminism, and you'll discover a treasure trove of mental retardation.

this shit has to be seen to be believed:

Editor’s Note: Like this phenomenal article, Everyday Feminism definitely believes in giving people a heads up about material that might provoke our reader’s trauma. However, we use the phrase “content warning” instead of “trigger warning,” as the word “trigger” relies on and evokes violent weaponry imagery. This could be re-traumatizing for folks who have suffered military, police, and other forms of violence. So, while warnings are so necessary and the points in this article are right on, we strongly encourage the term “content warning” instead of “trigger warning.”

A non-ironic trigger warning against trigger warnings.

Why does anyone want to be an SJW? You can't even come close to winning with these people.

ironically its just the modern incarnation of the White Man's Burden: an means to excuse their immoral behaviour and at the same time feel good that they are doing the Right Thing.

That or an excuse as to why they failed to be successful- it was patriarchy/white people/ rich people/ straight people/christians/lizardmen's fault I never succeeded not that I didn't work hard enough and/or took a micky mouse degree with 0 job prospects.

Why do dumb things like hairstyles have to be segregated?

It's interesting how SJWism is just my generation's "progressivism" turned on it's head.

When I was a kid, the self-proclaimed culture police wondered why white people didn't get "ethnic" haircuts and insinuated that racism was the ONLY reason why your average white person didn't have dreads. If you REALLY wanted racial equality, you'd shed some of your lilly-white preferences and get an afro!

20 years on, and now it's the opposite. White people with "ethnic" haircuts are ruthless appropriators and violators of a scared POC culture, reducing it to a hairstyle they wear and they DIDN'T EARN, you RACISTS!

And that's just one example, the rest pretty much follow suit.

Then: If you're so accepting of minorities, why don't you go live in the city with them? Too afraid to leave your comfy suburb?
Now: You evil white bastards are gentrifying ethnic neighborhoods! GET BACK IN YOUR COMFY SUBURBS!!!

You can't win.
