Speaking of Nagatoro, after chapter 81, I think they‘re getting to a point where they probably could start wrapping it up. I kind of hope they don‘t yet because it’s a series I look forward to, but several of the major hurdles are past now, and it feels like they might at least be setting it up.
Looks like I was wrong... new wrinkle introduced. I guess the artist was aware of the flag.

Pretty sure the new girl is the old president’s little sister, in which case I feel like this gets set up and quickly knocked away, but if this is a friend from the past it probably goes longer and will give us a chance to learn a bit more about senpai’s past.

First Shonen jump magazine i bought there was a story about yugi and the girl going to a fast food place and she got held hostage by a gunman (??) was this in the anime lmao

Also I was jamming to the Pastel Yumi theme and then I discovered that Mariko Saiga has been dead for over 30 years. She moved to California to go to college and in November 1989 she died in a car accident on a trip in Arizona when her car swerved and tumbled off a cliff

And now I'm reading about yutaka ozaki and yukiko Okada....I fell down a rabbit hole. Yukiko was an idol singer who jumped off a building but strangely before that she was discovered crying in the closet of her gas filled apartment with a slashed wrist.

Yutaka was a popular male singer. In 92 he was found naked in an alleyway with a bump on his head and really odd injuries all over his body. He was taken to hospital. Got released. Later dead from pulmonary embolism of lungs. Some think Sony covered it up

And yes there are photos of both deceased.
I'm still disturbed by these three cases. Legit feels like I'm living in the Perfect Blue world irl. Its haunting. Mariko in particular she would have gone on to do amazing things. Its just upsetting.

This somehow made its way into my recommendations on Youtube.

(Note parts 2 through 4 haven't been uploaded as of this writing.)

MS Paint Christian teens talking about anime (with some cringy convention footage of "typical" anime fans answering questions).

It's mostly about Sailor Moon and especially Dragonball but they did talk briefly about the particularly "blasphemous" anime Sora no Otoshimono/Heaven's Lost Property (which I initially mistook for DearS when I was skimming the video using the preview thumbnails that come up when you peruse the video timeline).

One petty annoyance: they bring up the 22-year old canard that "Matrix ripped off Ghost in the Shell". The Wachowski Bros. took some visual influences from Ghost in the Shell, to be sure, but the plots really aren't at all similar beyond both being in the same cyberpunk genre. If The Matrix was a rip-off of any specific anime, it would be Megazone 23.

Has anyone watched Drifting Dragons? Polygon Studios is behind the 3D animation and it's beautifully done. It's a fun, adventurous show with a motley ensemble cast. The premise is a steampunk type world where a draker crew of an airship hunts dragons, which are really more like air fish the way they are designed. Overall it's great escapism without many heavy moments and is worth a watch.
I've been reading the manga for a few years and didn't realize it was given an anime. Oh its a Netflix one. Eh from the screenshots I feel like it screws up some of the artstyle a bit.

I do agree that it is good though. Fantasy airship whaling adventures with a likeable crew. And the dragon designs are really cool.

Yeah I was a bit hesitant on it being published through Netflix, but it ended up being pretty decent.

My guess is that she will be the exact opposite of Nagatoro.
She will be calm and collected, will look up to and respect Senpai.
He will talk to her without hesitation or anxiety.
Naragoto will be pissed at how close they are and at how much she knows and understands Senpai.

At some point, the new girl will confront Nagatoro and chastise her for her behavior towards him.
Nagatoro will be pissed but she will also agree with that statement to a degree.
She will try (and fail) to act like the new girl.
Eventually, Senpai will tell her that he misses her old behavior and that will be somewhat of an end to that arc.

Or she could be a weirdo that wants Paisen to model naked for her.

Finished Mysterious Girlfriend X last night.

I've heard of swapping spit, but this is ridiculous. (Nah for real though, this was really touching)

Enjoyed it quite a bit. Too bad there's no second season. Ah well, there's still the manga I guess.

The manga goes weird, but I enjoy Ueshiba’s style. His next work gets even weirder, and really shows off his limited character style (the MC and his mother are straight up the friend and his GF from MGX, and even Urabe gets recycled as a secondary character)

I just read the chapter. Good use of showing just how much they’ve grown from the start as well as a good setup for things going on.

Plus, had Sempai admitted he wanted to kiss Nagatoro, that pretty much would have ended it, since she’s clearly wanting him to be brave enough to confess before she fully admits it hers.

Just watched the newest Zombieland Saga R episode and it wasn't bad by itself. I was worried it would be a retread of the previous Lily episode, but it wasn't.
The antagonist Oozora Light is quite the tactician who definitely knows how to play the crowd, He even is an interesting foil for Lily who understands the flaws of child actors and has aspirations of his own growing up.
Lily on the other hand proves to be quite adaptable. I didn't expect the rakugo skit she used and even though she lost the competition, she won the crowd and beyond that her araingment. With that, it also shows some of Light's own fears of not able to stand up to perform to a crowd and learining through it thanks to Lily.

There is one tongue in cheek joke at the end.

Reply to me of obvious Twitter lies of this episode

Sounds like he has “6 face disease” like Adachi and Naoki Urasawa do,

I can't even think of any angle the troon brigade could find to work on this ep, aside from cheering from the rooftops that Lily's hair and ribbon look like their flag.
Of course that just means the ones who want to be outraged will have even more outrageous bollocks to chat.

I‘m reading Komi-san Can’t Communicate, and it’s pretty funny and cute, but every time she does her scared face all I can see is the girls from Edna & Harvey:
