I understand Vagabond once received the special 3-in-1 manga omnibus treatment, but how come Slam Dunk never released a special manga omnibus? If it came out today, I’d spend money on that for sure.

Slam Dunk actually got one a few years ago in Japan, wasn't exactly a 3-in-1 ( compressed 31 volumes into 20), but it was remarkable well received, so much so that oricon recorded the series as the 4th best selling manga in 2018, a full 22 years after it ended.I understand Vagabond once received the special 3-in-1 manga omnibus treatment, but how come Slam Dunk never released a special manga omnibus? Dumb question but isn't this series a Sports Manga classic? I don't read much of that genre, but I heard it's good.Slam Dunk actually got one a few years ago in Japan, wasn't exactly a 3-in-1 ( compressed 31 volumes into 20), but it was remarkable well received, so much so that oricon recorded the series as the 4th best selling manga in 2018, a full 22 years after it ended.

Viz might release it when the new movie comes out, but they skipped an earlier special edition that came out in 2002-2003 so who knows.
First time Mokuba had a gang with tasers and made Yugi go play capsule monsters with him in an abandoned warehouse, then Kaiba invited them over, Mokuab tried to kill Yugi and Joey with russain roulette food, then after that Kaiba and Mokuba had a falling out and then Mokuba played capsule monsters with Yugi again, only to loose, get saved, and turned into an ally after that.Man, Mokuba was one evil little shit in the original Yugioh. Tried to kill the group on multiple occasions. Pretty sure in the same arc as the serial killer Joey killed, he made them play Russian Roulette with poisoned food.
Yeah, but instead of actually burning to death, he just thought he was for the rest of his life.First Shonen jump magazine i bought there was a story about yugi and the girl going to a fast food place and she got held hostage by a gunman (??) was this in the anime lmao
It may help if you narrow it down to certain genres or "Something like X" cause as you can imagine there's a lot of shows out there. If you're looking for something like Berserk I never read it personally but I heard it's gory dark fantasy so the first thing that comes to mind for me is the most recent Dororo anime from 2019.You guys have any recommendation to some good, modern anime/manga?

For manga I really enjoy One-Punch Man and Golden Kamuy, and if you count stuff that's older but still ongoing, I'd recommend Battle Angel Alita and Yotsuba as well. OPM has an excellent anime adaption for the first season but you gotta switch to the manga after, Golden Kamuy cuts too many important details and scenes to recommend over the manga but it really does get the characters right so it's nice if you've already read it. Yotsuba and Alita will likely never get full anime adaptions sadly. You guys have any recommendation to some good, modern anime/manga?
It depends on what you are into. You guys have any recommendation to some good, modern anime/manga? I've read/watch Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia on and off but never got invested in them.. The only manga I did enjoy was Berserk and I don't need to talk about how great that series is as well as what happened recently.
I'm so happy for Casca, cried like a little bitch.
I used to be an otaku years ago but the passion kind of died down in the 2010s. Looking to get back into the swing of things.

I mean this one. https://anilist.co/anime/101347/Dororo/ I never read the original Tezuka manga but the 2019 anime seemed like a good remake to me cause the team put their own spin on the story in a way that worked well. From what I've been told the original manga had some cartoony humor moments to it and handwaved Hyakkimaru not having any sensory organs by giving him telepathy, while the 2019 anime actually shows what it was like for him to live 16 years with only the ability to 'sense' other lifeforms around him but without being able to actually communicate with them.I'm not sure if vapewizard meant Dorohedoro, but I'd definitely recommend both the manga and anime if you liked Berserk. The art is something else.
If you're getting back into anime I'd recommend Space Dandy, from 2014. It's basically Johnny Bravo meets Cowboy Bebop. Pretty light fare, but Watanabe is an excellent director and the animation is really top notch. You guys have any recommendation to some good, modern anime/manga?
