Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Not gonna name names but it'd be great if the person who's been running to the mods to cry about posts on the down-low would be named the next time they do it. Because that's gay shit and the person doing it (you know who you are) shouldn't be given that they're one of the people who'll call people faggots for using the ignore feature. Doubly so considering that they're an older member of the site.

Just saying.

Just want to say that the Pastadome for Articles and Happenings was the best idea for a thread. When it does not get derailed, they’ve been offering some very good advice on how to make great pasta.

To be more specific would defeat the point of not making it a call-out, but there's a certain person on this board who keeps running to staff crying lately.

He knows who he is, as said, and it's fucking gay that he's running to staff crying especially because he acts like it's homosexual to report/ignore people. All I'm asking for, is that the next time he runs to someone like @It's HK-47 , that he gets named and shamed for it instead of giving him what he wants. It's the kind of shit I'd expect from SomethingAwful or ResetEra, not the fucking Autistic Thunderdome section of KiwiFarms.

Seniority shouldn't be a pass for acting like a baby-back bitch. Lexmechanic, Spectre_06, and Geth_N7 put up with much, much worse and didn't run to the staff like faggots. Or at the very least if they did they didn't get what they wanted.
