If Chauvin is fund guilty on I'm 100% certain the defense would appeal immediately, and one reason would be the refusal to change the venue. The protests are everywhere; on our phones, radio, tv and internet. Changing the venue and immediately sequestering the jury would be absolutely essential to a fair and impartial jury.

Sounds like getting arrested was the smart financial move there.

How do they even get these jurors into the courthouse without getting mobbed? Do black lives only matter if they get to sleep in every morning?

Part of me feels like the Judge gave them a get out of jail free card, it's gonna be hard to find anywhere where the jurors haven't heard of the case, but it's not gonna be hard for the jurors to not have to be afraid of riots.
