Okay, my vita came in and I already modded it but holy fuck they never fixed the firmware bugs that were in 2.00, that’s incredible.

As far as I recall, Sony bothered to fix anything like the possible corruption in the database or the occasional slowdown in the livearea menu. Just "stability updates" until the end.
Also enjoy your Vita, it's a pretty neat handheld.

It was a massive improvement to the PSP in every way. But Sony stumbled when it progressed. Priority, expensive memory cards. Lack of marketing. Inconsistent targeting. It was a glorified smartphone.

Thanks, I am looking forward to setting up SD2VITA and setting up the GTA PS2/PSP and Max Payne games, not the biggest fan of playing those game on a touch screen and iOS doesn’t have support for the new Xbox controller

Vita outside the memory cards was amazing for 2011, hardware wise everything was right, and made to look even better compared to the 3ds which is awful to hold, only had one nub , a lower res screen than the psp and was far weaker than the vita. However the 3DS did have one big thing over the Vita, it had games. You can be the best designed console in the world but all that means nothing without the dev support.

I felt the wii u's first party line up was good, just shit third party wise, was grossly over priced for something that was so close to ps3/360 specs when the xbone and ps4 were only a year away. Also awfully marketed, that name wii u made it seem like an add on not a follow up to the general public.

The Wii-U wasn't well supported by first or third party. My first game for the system was Monster Hunter 3U and my second game for it was Mario kart 8 and my third game was Xenoblade Chronicles X.
I did not have many games for the system because their offerings were weak as all hell.

PS1 to 2 era was good. PS4 was okay. I had 1001 spikes since Nicallas isn't gonna release it on the Switch.
At least Super Robot Wars V and X been ported to the Switch. Moon Dwellers won't however.

Wii U was pretty weak imo. Lack of third party. Region Lock and a clunky pad that was useful in Mario Maker.

Apparently not enough to dissuade japanese devs from going all in on them, the upcoming Senran kagura X Neptunia game is a playstation exclusive.
It's funny just how much Sony owns in terms of rights ever since acquiring Crunchyroll and going through with the Kadokawa deal. They've even got Bandai Namco by the balls.
You may be wondering why this happened and why the devs aren't morally opposed due to the small bits of censorship that happened in the past? Well it's mostly because all neptunia and Senran games were made with the most minimal effort as possible and the real money maker was not the games, but the merchandise. Sony gets a cut of the merch sales since they control the licensing to much larger markets than Japan.
The real show is going to be once they start bringing over and promoting all the Fate stuff. Fate was the entire reason why they dropped the vita, they were competing with their mobile phone gaming division. Nintendo to a larger extent does the same which is why the pokemon games for the consoles now resemble ass. Their money comes from merch and phone games with anything from Pokemon now.

The fact that they didn't greenlight Days Gone 2 but did a remake of a game that isn't even a decade old is hysterically stupid. I didn't even like Days Gone but plenty of people did. Druckmann must have photos of higher ups at Sony fucking puppies while killing babies or something at this point because he has no reason to be treated as a golden child. Sony is going full blown retard at this point. Wouldn't surprise me if Media Molecule have a guillotine primed for them in the near future.

The whole story is fucking stupid
A) Nobody really cared about Days Gone before today
B) They already have studios like Blue Point who's entire existence is to remaster shit
C) Both the Xbox Series X and PS5 are still in limbo due to chip shortages so we're reduce to fucking slap fights over the most mundane shit like baseball, neither of them can get off the runway.
D) Remastering games that aren't even a decade old isn't new they're what consist of most budget releases since the last generation, or full on 60 dollar titles if they're Zelda.

I'm pretty sure they stated it was supposed to be a full on remake of TLOU, not a remaster. That shit is stupid. The fact that they have Bluepoint as a partner and are greenlighting a TLOU remake only brings light to how stupid they are being, wasting resources and losing talent by having on of their support studios and a main studio working on it instead of just handing it off to Bluepoint to do shitty work as they have almost always done.

It's more than likely intended to tie into the upcoming TV series. By the time a game like that would be done the TV series would be starting. That's tying into the same cross platform promotion that they're doing with anime. From a business standpoint it's not a bad idea since it's worked before with other companies.
Naughty Dog's next game is some overwatch bullshit though, so I don't see this game being worked full time on the studio and the remake is instead getting farmed out.
Personally I probably wouldn't buy either a Days Gone Sequel or a TLOU1 remaster, I want some real shit actual substance to bitch about.

It's talking about it's own first party studios. Not even Nintendo makes first party games that are only successful in japan, that's why it has a vietnam memorial of dead series that only get brought back as Smash brothers DLC. Hell they outright killed the Mario and Luigi series over it bombing and let the developer die.
All the smaller exclusive games are getting put out to external development.
They didn't literally buy out the whole anime industry to just sit on IPs, they're all going to become smaller titles.
