I'm more curious on how and why Null managed to gather like 5 digits of these anime avatars and set them to all the users.

It probably was really really simple to find, shits all over the place, there's probably some kind of repository he just grabbed the images from. I'm no coderman but I noticed that if you click on your profile image on your wall (not the edit part, just the normal part) it loads your real avatar, so its some kinda swap out.... code... thingiemabobber. Like it didn't overwrite your real avatar in the files, its just drawing image [x] from a folder and list of cursed images in place for user [x], or something like that. That's my guess anyways.
