My running theory. The Prosecution knows they are fucked on the facts, Floyd OD'd and there is no getting around that. I think they are trying to humanize him to an extreme extent, build up emotional resonance to blunt the effects of that fact on the jury.


The problem is that every witness is reinforcing it.

That's exactly what they are doing. They are counting on the jury being a bunch of mouth breathers who get taken in by tears and will vote to convict.
