As a person who used to watch this fat blob back in 2016 or so, It is very disturbing to see him troon out and turn into even more of a blob.

The UK retro gaming scene that Ashens is a part of has had some dumb shit happen to it. But most of it is restrained to small conventions in a shed in Milton Keyes attended exclusively by manchildren Gen Xers who don't use twitter. Guru Larry has been pretty sensible. But he and Ashens still surround themselves with the tranny Kim Justice and the Soy embodiment Nostalgia Nerd. Whilst Ashens has not directly been a part of drama he does tend to surround himself with people who shit out drama.

Given that Ashens has a PhD in psychology, I want to believe until other wise he is only near them to observe them as he finds it grimly interesting.
I know I do that with some political crazies on both ends, and I have a background in Political Science.

Eh, I don't think he was that rich to be honest. Don't get me wrong, he had a super high income but that doesn't make you rich. He famously blew shit tons of money on an esports team when Starcraft 2 was on the decline, bought tons of overpriced junk, had to pay for his cancer treatments (this one is more understandable obviously, but still a very high expense) then bought a house when he didn't have the funds or good credit (which shows you just how bad he was with money) and had to put everything on the line just so he could say "He owned a house" a few months before he died.

TB was a man-child who didn't' know how to use the large amounts of money he earned to generate passive income and honestly didn't consider how his family would survive his inevitable demise. I honestly can't blame her for being a bit peeved that the one thing he spent money on that did generate gains, she can't get.

I’ve seen Guru Larry comment on channels‘ videos that the left would consider “problematic” like Timcast, Memeology and random anti-SJW videos. He seems to have more of his shit together and doesn’t involve politics in his gaming channel. Also the dude lost a ton of weight so I’m pretty sure he’s at least living in reality and is capable of being responsible for himself.

Ashens... I can see him being an SJW but, like Guru Larry, he keeps his videos mostly free of politics besides the odd non-partisan political joke here and there.

Not sure about Nostalgia Nerd. I‘ve only seen a few of his videos.

I can distinctly recall Guru Larry or at least someone claming to be him going on NeoGashgaf and saying that his "girlfriend" made him see Gamergate as a hate movement. No idea how true that is. And as you've said, I've seen him comment on videos related to alternative media. So who knows. I've actually got Larry on my facebook and talked to him a few times. He was always nice to me and never seemed up his own arse like some of the UK Retro scene are.

I would like to see some receipts for the latter.

As for Kim Justice, I quite like her because she actually does the research on what she makes videos about and often it's very informative and well put together. I've also only encountered her sperging out about transness about twice, and one of those was a specific video about her "tranniversary." Though I'd like to see more of her Disappearing Southend local history series myself.

Even if what you say about NN is true, welp, at least we still have Techmoan.

My bet is it happening during one of his “wrestling” shows. At his size, he’s a ticking time bomb and doing any sort of strenuous activities will be too much for his disgusting, artery clogged heart.

I remember one podcast years ago they were talking about stocks and he admitted Genna did all the finances and TB acted like she was a genius at making money. In reality, it seems like he didn't understand how everything worked and he just assumed they were richer than they actually were. But also, she never told him to tone it down because she probably liked pretending they were rich.

To be fair, I'm sure they lived very comfortably despite his extravagant spending. It's just Jenna can't maintain anything near that lifestyle without him. Sure, without him around the expenses are lower, but she's a no-name with a fraction of his presence and therefore his income.

And the one thing she was supposed to maintain, the podcast, she destroyed because she wanted it to be more like something she enjoyed instead of just letting Jesse and Dodger do all the work and staying behind the scenes and getting a cut of the sponsors she got for them.
