So I’ve spent quite a lot of today attempting to discuss gender with people who are convinced that transsexual women are (despite the name) actually men.

This is exactly why I stopped using preferred pronouns. Initially I figured it just wasn't a big deal, pronouns really shouldn't be gendered in the first place, it's just a weird cultural artifact. But then they start using the fact that you're willing to play along with their delusions as evidence that they aren't delusions. They'll claim that you're hypocrite because you disagree with them but weren't an asshole about it. At first I didn't want to die on the pronoun hill, but then they proved that if you give an inch of ground they'll claim the entire field.

If you’re interested in a more in-depth examination of biological sex as a social construct I highly recommend “Hermaphrodites and the medical invention of sex, by Alice Domurat Dreger”. I read it while working with Professor Sarah Creighton, a gynaecologist whose area of expertise is adolescent and adult women with disorders of sexual differentiation.

Ironic that TRAs hate Alice Dreger. Then again, the reason that she started researching transsexuality and began advocating the existence of AGP was because the TRAs tried to get her on their side after she made a name for herself as an advocate for intersex rights.

Then, as science progressed and different biological features were discovered, it was said that your hormones were what made you male or female, or what appearance the cells of your gonads (testes, ovaries, or occasionally something inbetween) had under microscope. Chromosomes were discovered, giving us another way to try to find out someone’s “true sex”.

But the fact is, no one of these features can be used to tell whether someone is male, female, or intersex. It’s true that MOST women are born with a clitoris, vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, have low testosterone and high oestrogen and progesterone, and have XX chromosomes.

Wow, that's an especially hot take, even for a gender-ideologist. I don't think I've seen them claim that actual intersex conditions can't be readily recognized through objective, measurable factors. They usually just like to claim that the existence of intersex people somehow negates the straightforward classification of male and female.

Looking through his blog (which he stopped updating 5 years ago after writing the execrable article "Why women aren’t oppressed solely because of their biology") he seems like he would have a thread here, he was kicked out of a gym for showing off his underwear, but he claimed that it was because people were offended to see a woman lifting weights. Also he does roller derby which in and of itself should qualify him as a cow. His tumblr and blog haven't updated in a while, but his twitter is still super active. I only see retweets though.

What I'm most amazed about troons is that they get away with sexual harassment, blatant homophobia, and rape/death threats. If it was anyone else, the progressives would go after them like a pack of rabid hyenas. Yet when it comes to troons and TRAs, they stay silent or back them up, while still trying to gaslight lesbians and gays, "We're not saying you have to fuck us, we're just saying that you need to do something thinking on why exactly you don't want to fuck us. It's the fact that you refuse to see as women/men in your dating pool, and that's the part that's transphobic."

I feel they're testing the waters with pulling this shit on heterosexuals, but for now are focusing on their attention on the LGB since the T is a part of the group, and the first ones to be beaten into submission is always your allies.

Thankfully this appears to be backfiring spectacularly, as the LGB is quickly realizing that troons are not their friends, nor are they or ever can be the opposite sex, and that troons don't give a shit about gay people or their rights. Troons only give a shit about troons and what they demand from society. They'll lump LGB in with them when it's convenient and then quickly turn on them and cast them as the bad guys again once they get what they want.

I don’t actually think there are even that many GUYS who actually want to hurt and humiliate girls sexually. They used to be a mix of the paranormal/occult/conspiracies and true crime, but now they're more solidly "True Crime Podcast" with only the occasional nod to the fun shit in their grab bag episodes. In one of the most recent episodes one of the hosts let slip that another host had explicitly told him before recording started that he wasn't to bring up the topic of a certain kind of magic nor was he supposed to go on a rant about it. Which sucks, because those rants were one of the things that originally got me into the show in the first place.

I'm sure that the McElroy's suck the tranny cock, and I know that they plug the Sylvia Rivera Fund and Marsha P Johnson Foundation at the end of the pod, but the actual content doesn't really ever mention troon shit (though I do remember one painful moment of a live show where an audience member asked for advice on how to come out to his father a third time to announce that actually he isn't a gay man transwoman, but actually he's nonbinary). I haven't really listened to Adventure Zone, the fan stuff makes me think it has troon stuff, but that could just be the fanbase trooning characters.

One podcast that I'm sort of wondering about is Comedy Bang Bang though. It's just a minor thing, but for a few weeks Scott Soccermom kept on occasionally randomly referencing Harry Potter (he almost never did before this) and then saying "written by the notorious TERF JK Rowling" and I'm still genuinely unsure on whether he was making fun of TRAs for being so mad at her for expressing a pretty mild opinion or whether he was actually trying to contribute to her cancellation. He probably could have gained a big troon following if he'd kept up the bit or really leaned into it (and I like Scott Saucerman) so I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt here. He sort of had a golden opportunity to denounce JK Rowling a month or so ago when Lauren Lapkus (best known for her role on Orange is the New Black) was playing a character named "Galbraith" and he didn't. I'm sure that anyone who knows the answer won't tell me, but it's something that I've sort of wondered about.
