I just finished watching Erased. Highly recommend it; great characters and story. I was really invested in it.
Erased will always be relevant for shitposts because of this.

I can offer you MHA if that's your thing.
I won't decline your experience choice. But this is just really bad dub. I can speak from my own experience on this due to the fact that:
> I had a dubtard phase for a long while since 2016, until last year. I mostly watch subbed nowadays too.
> I've been watching Uzaki-chan subbed since it was airing. So I can tell how bad this dub ruins many things, things that are not just voice based.
> I'm putting my Weeb Wars hatred for Monica Rial aside, so I'm very unbiased in saying this dub is shit.
Tbf, that kid's dad is black and the family is pretty normal all things considered.View attachment 1595620

I thought your work was done when you made black-2B your avatar. Finally racism is destroyed, my work here is done.
You should watch Trigun. It's literally a metaphor about Christian forgiveness and redemption, all in the form of Weird West action fest.Did someone who was writing Sword Art Online suddenly get Jesus or something like that? Because holy FUCK the Christian metaphors are intense.
Eugeo is fucking Jesus (him chopping down the tree could be considered a carpenter), Kirito is Peter. Gabriel Miller gets dragged down into literal fucking hell. Not to mention the Christian imagery gets super intense. Obviously, with Alicization having to deal with the creation of true AI, creation metaphors are going to come into play. That being said, its just kind of weird seeing these overt Christian references in a culture where Christianity is basically like their religion over in the West, something mysterious and ephemeral. Its just so odd to see accurate Christian metaphors in anime.

Yup, the hag got no range.

Monica only hit her peak in anime pre-2014 since she was a decent voice actress who had much better range. She sounds really bad here and trying too hard. I think her only good recent role was Mila from Fire Emblem only because she had to sound much more mature and wise, instead of trying to replicate her younger days.
It's a shame since I used to like her voicework, especially her portrayal of Stocking. This is of course ignoring her as a person cause I really lost much interest in the Weeb Wars drama but it did help me steer away from Funimation dubs.
Then again I guess this is natural given she was cursed by the root of all internet autism

Does anyone else have a really hard time with monthly release manga? I usually end up losing interest in them and forgetting about them.
You really should, it's in my top 5 animes, and you should watch the dub, Meryl, Vash and Spoiler Character do a great job, but I will admit there are a couple of times Milly's voice gets a bit grating.I really should, I know its a classic

Dubs before Subs. The only language worth listening to is American. You're trying to convert me to the cult of dubs, aren't you?

Doesn't the manga end differently? I remember laughing at the changes they made when adapting it but can't remember anymore.View attachment 1595560

Real talk if you want good dubs here's a short list. Trigun, s-CRY-ed, Big O, Cowboy Bebop, Space Dandy, Baccano, Burst Angel, and Samurai Champloo. Take note, most of these heavily feature legendary Steve Blum.I was going to ask "More accurate than Trigun?" but you haven't seen it.
Just Trigun's dub. Johnny Yong Bosh as Vash is as classic as it gets, and people tend to shit on Jeff Nimoy, but he was excellent as Wolfwood, probably my favorite role of his next to Tentomon. But it's a classic Pioneer dub to begin with, no bullshit to be found.
I don't think they made much changes to the anime beyond removing part of the serial killer's backstory.Doesn't the manga end differently? I remember laughing at the changes they made when adapting it but can't remember anymore.
Has anyone watched the second season of Darker than black? I had watched the first but never got around to watch season 2 because I got preoccupied with other shit. Now that I'm re watching the first season and wanted to know if it is worth watching.
I disagree on Samurai Champloo's dub being good as Blum barely tries to change his voice and it's really distracting IMO.Real talk if you want good dubs here's a short list.
