Rather than these masks, you probably want to get into face shields. There's very little printed material per unit since the bulk of the shield is a non-printed sheet of clear plastic (the printed clip piece is only there to hold the sheet in shape and attach it to your head), and it's very easy to set up a printer to plop out one, knock it off the bed into a box or something, and repeat. Just set the printer up and let it run for a few days, you'll have a box with dozens or hundreds of masks ready for assembly. Easy money.

Im liking that idea. could do multiple at once and not have to start a new print as often or do any shaping
yeah i know not the most original idea. was more thinking 3d printing anything useful in bulk amounts is easy money just because the printer does all the work, masks were just the first thing to come to mind.

Why would you 3d print the masks instead of use a sewing machine?

because PLA can be shaped with really low heat so you can just put it on and use a hair dryer to shape them exactly to your face. was gonna put a layer of a softer material on the inside so they're as comfy as a cloth mask but can be custom fit to anyone

I can't stop wondering, how the fuck do you 3D print a face mask?

I'm assuming it's something along the lines of this thing here?

What, it's not even a full face shield for maximum cyberpunk goodness?

That looks so uncomfortable, I'd rather just get a pack of felt ones.
yeah havent added a layer underneath yet so currently they are kinda uncomfortable but im hoping that having the whole thing being shapable instead of just the nose will make it more comfortable than the cloth ones once i add a more cloth-ish material on the inside :optimistic:

this is fine, but how about 3d printing happiness for me?
currently trying.

really just want something i can automate most of and make enough money to survive off of even if just barely so my regular work doesn't have too much leverage over me the next time shit gets rough

1. have baby
2. break it's brain
3. collect it's welfare
4. ignore baby, give it an ipad

free money, and we get a new lolcow.
didnt mean the welfare type of free money. i get it though 3d printed masks kinda have a reputation for being shit quality and my first post was ridiculously optimistic.

I kinda just meant 3d printing stuff in general seems like a nice way to make some extra money automatically so you can do other stuff at the same time. but yeah definitely not the first person to think of it.

I got this idea.

Create a political movement to support those who don't want to get a vaccine,
because this group of people will not get vaccinated will not be able to get a job and do other normal things that normal people did before the pandemic,
This group of people will be considered fragile because they are not vaccinated, and if they get the virus they can get ill and die,
This political movement will fight for the right of this group of people, the goal is to get government support, like rental assistance, food bank, money, free netflix and internet, etc.

Vaccine denials is the future.

We can learn from Vegan movement mistakes and make it work this time.

>implying everyone who took the dodgy rushed vaccine won't drop dead

of course this virus is considered economy destroyer and many business more special small business go bankrupt and countries getting debt to stay afloat. BUT can you make it in your interest heheheheh $$$.
potential ways to make money during corona crisis:
1. steal masks by the box and resell for cheaper ehehehehee $$$
2. buy decreasing resource (toilet paper) and resell for higher price heheh $$$$$$$$$
3. streets can be empty in some places because nothing is working or police hour so you can steal cars ($$$ hehehheehehehh)
4. you can offer protection to business from corona $$$$$$$ heheheheheh
5. because cafes or nightclubs can be shut down you can make illegal parties and charge it heheheheh $$$.
i want to hear your ideas.
also watch this video and think about it.
