if they want a imageboard they could ask @Null for a SJW version of Larachan, more cheaper

this Heartmob thing is just a mainstream and scamming way of duplicate and generate tumblr asspats, the only difference is that here you can control the mobs you can send against the "persons" who hurt your feelings, sadly for people like us, this is irrelevant, we dont crave for Harassment cries or suicide threats

they dont realize that the best way to stop "harassment" in internet is just stepping way from the computer, but those idiots are so craving for the attention that they dont care, harassment is a empty word now

and thanks to them this forum exist, and we can laugh at them

I'd say it's just a cash grab. They'll make some shitty webpage that will link to pre-existing web pages then slap on a Twitter feed and Bam!

Terms completed and 20k totally spent well you guys, if you question where the money went then your just a cis-het scum mysoginist.

I'm wondering what happens when the harassers are themselves SJW types. Will the "mob" just ignore it?

"maintain complete control over their story. "
So they're not even going to bother to review the evidence and just take the claim at face value.

How do they even know the person complaining is even being harassed if they only get one side of the story?

They don't, which is why if they're not just planning on stealing the money, which seems likely, and actually release something, it will immediately be used to :ruse:

The issue with the current anti-bully advocates (Dan Savage in particular) and probably this app is that they only care about their specific niche they belong to and don't really care if anyone else gets bullied and in many cases advocate or opening bully other groups or their opponents. The hypocrisy will be the downfall of this app, along with ruse-cruising, as others have said.

So this is basically mob violence, but only for people they support. It's only a few specific groups that they actually see as needing help. This will also be troll flooded in no time.

They'll definitely produce SOMETHING. There's too much money (And I'm not talking about the Kickstarter funds) and too many ideologues involved to have this be a complete embarrassment. They'll do just enough so that they can yap about it's incredible success in the press release for their next Kickstarter (See: Hollaback's "Online Harassment Task Force" that they mention in this Kickstarter, which appears to not even actually be a thing.)

Not only that, but this website is going to immediately become the very thing that they're trying to "fight": a angry internet mob intent on fucking up some random person's life.

On the most superficial level this sounds like a good idea, yet anyone with even a cursory knowledge of basic social protocol and internet culture will understand how it's doomed to glorious failure. If your online life is causing you that much distress you need to remove yourself from the harmful environment and go get real, face-to-face help and advice from friends, family, a fucking therapist.

I just, guys, this is so fucking stupid.

Mob harassment is acceptable when its victims are "bad people", shitlord.
another solution is to ditch your current tag and get a new identity. Of course this can only work if you are willing to change your behavior and not leave a connection to your identity. going afk for a while is always a good idea, if anything but to collect yourself.

Isn't the platform to gather up supporters for online harassment just Twitter? It honestly seems to be working just fine. Why is this even needed? What does this do that tweeting to an "anti-harassment" pundit on Twitter for support doesn't?

If the harasser is a SJW plusgoodthinker and the target is not then they don't intervene.

If the harasser is not a SJW plusgoodthinker and the target is then they intervene.

If both the harasser and the target are SJW plusgoodthinkers or if both of them are not then a check of privilege is conducted and whoever has the most oppression points on the SJW scale wins. If the harasser wins then there is no intervention. If the target wins then they intervene.

The funny thing is that they often accuse people of not "reading Orwell right." Like, whenever they're presented with this stuff their entire argument is "YOU'RE the oppressive ones that Orwell was writing about, we're the victims!" Like somehow holding people accountable for their actions makes them Big Brother. I've seen this in media that presents the whole "everyone must fall in line with what one person says, even if that one person is a hypocrite" thinking as bad, them trying to damage control.

The issue they don't seem to comprehend is that it's effectivelly ideology-neutral. Oceania isn't the only totalitarian state brought up, and I doubt the other two espouce the same ideology.
