Wait a minute... He just said "the login I used for this fucking Champions game is a login I've used for other things across the internet over the years."
That's the quote verbatim. Even if he meant to say "Supercards", he still just admitted that he knew what game we were talking about, when previously he tried to obfuscate things by acting like we couldn't get our shit straight. He also just confirmed that it would not at all be out of character for him to be under the same name everywhere he goes. Nice job, Phil.
Anyway, yeah, so he has gone the "there's some guy they think he's me" route, but he makes sure to feign ignorance to any other details even though he reads this place and couldn't possibly be that unaware of the fact that, at the very least, we, the detractors largely responsible for him having to deal with this meme, have entertained the idea of it being a troll, and especially today are quite dismissive of the idea that when NotDSP claims ignorance, he's being honest.
He got so close to expressing sympathy for NotDSP, too, but, again, he makes it about his weariness with the meme staying around and acting unaware of what's really going on there, despite definitely knowing that NotDSP had lost two guilds after refusing to confirm their status as legit not being DSP. Even if Phil were innocent, he would still be full of shit in regards to his thoughts towards NotDSP, because knowing that NotDSP refuses to confirm their real identity should pretty solidly cement them as being a deliberate troll in his mind. Which means he couldn't possibly have anything other than contempt for NotDSP.
Hmm... That other video is interesting. He says it's one of the few times he uses that handle in a game, a statement he completely contradicts in his rant the following year.
@lavrentiyberia So it is possible for him to get close to his all-time highest position as long as he spends enough? Because if that's how it works, that calls the idea of it being a troll into even more question than it was already in. I mean, think about it: at this point, does a troll have any real incentive to whale out like that? We are as convinced as we can be short of Phil straight-up confessing, most other detractors don't even seem to care if the meme has merit to it so long as Phil keeps getting pissed, and the paypigs aren't going to be convinced at all short of Phil straight-up confessing.
It's not impossible for a troll to be solely getting their laughs out of having us think Phil is most likely the guy because there's literally nothing else left, but as has been said before, believing that Phil is a mobile gaming addict lying his ass off is way less of a stretch. Especially with how emotional he has gotten over the meme. I mean seriously, how bad could it have been having to clear that up with Nancy unless he had reason to be afraid because it's true? And as I've pointed out, when the fuck has Phil ever tossed aside an old bad habit of his? When it comes right down to it, all I really need to know is that Phil has admitted spending on mobile games and has a history of being irresponsible with money. He doesn't even need the rep of a liar, addictions makes people into liars.
