It's still around.

Yes, it's still considered the worst place to be in the PA prisons.
They planned on closing it and upgrading it (hey it's PA gov what can you expect?) I'm not sure what either plan came to but as of writing this it's open, lets hope a cold slab is free for Sick Nick.
Maybe he will get lucky and they will find CP on his phone that he had gotten from someone in another state. He could go to a Federal Prison. He could get tied up with the federal government. They would have zero qualms aboot putting him in Supermax for claiming that he is whatever he would shout at random.

People who have commited sex crime are offer forbidding from having cell phone and/or internet access I would not be shocked if Nick was given such a condition

He's guilty as all hell, but he hasn't been convicted yet.

---if they find clear an convincing evidence that Amber's mom and aunt knew sexual abuse was happening and they did nothing and let it continue.... They could be held accountable for endangering a child. Of course, the state wouldn't touch that case unless they had absolute proof they knew and did nothing. They aren't going to dig much right now as they have no real reason too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't they have to show that they knew about it while it was happening, not after the fact?

Anyone else keep looking on Twitter to see if he's made bail? On one hand, I'm glad he's locked up where he belongs. But an evil part of me is dying to hear what he'd say.

I will dig a tunnel with a spoon and escape! No one will know what's behind the Digimon poster in my cell!

Even if he were to somehow get out of this his life would be so much fucking worse than before because news has spread to his community and to plenty of other places on the internet. MisterMetokur (InternetAristocrat) is planning to do a video about him. He would most likely have some dedicated people trying to get close to him just to incriminate him or at least troll the fuck out of him with no fear of going too far. He'd have to never leave his apartment and remove his internet presence entirely. He'd be living in self-exile even more than before.

He'd be a registered sex offender, and I was about to say "he'd never get a job", but that wasn't in the cards for him before, either. The sad thing is, in every major city, hell, many suburbs or major cities, guys like Nick get arrested every week. Last week I read two articles about two different child molesters being arrested in different towns not far from my city. If you google Nick's name in google's news, you get three hits for his area, all the same article. But he's hardly national news. Counting all 50 states, there were probably 500 Nicks arrested yesterday. He's got his internet infamy, but guys like him can go under the radar, and that's scary.

The thing is, the kind of miserable existence that registered sex offenders have to endure - social isolation, menial jobs or unemployment - is the kind of existence Nick was living before he got arrested.

The bail is $150K. I highly doubt it'll happen.

We don't have Bail bonds like this in the UK but from my understanding it's 10% of the bail amount, I don't see his family stumping up $15k for him they have tried to keep him at arms length for long enough, and I don't think they could get that on short notice either, or be willing to secure it with goods or property.

It's 15% in some states. Not sure if PA is one.

He only needs about 10% of that to get a bail bondsman to post it for him. That's still a big chunk of change.

It's also possible to put up the whole amount either as cash or collateral. The collateral option is a little tricky and would require professional assistance, but would still probably be cheaper. I suppose his aunt could put up some of that rental property, if she's that stupid.

It would be pretty pointless, though, because it would just forestall Nick being in prison anyway. As it is, he's at least going to get credit for time served.

I know of a semi-famous person who molested there own nephew and was caught! They're still being semi-famous today because nobody knows about this. I will post something about this someday but I'm a bit scared... :surprised:

Jesus Christ.

$15,000 so Nick can return to his apartment, smear shit on the walls and tweet until his inevitable incarceration? Sounds like a good investment. Perhaps we can could crowd fund his bail?
