"angry" gamers/critics

The whole story with Jerrid was that, apparently, at several events where Team Snob would interact with fans, Jerrid would often get drunk and hit on female fans (despite having a girlfriend at the time), leading to several women complaining to Brad. This led to pretty much *everyone* in Team Snob refusing to work with him due to him making them uncomfortable and becoming a "liability". Brad pretty much got tired of trying to do damage control for Jerrid and fired him.

As for Brad and Jillian, on the surface, the two pretty much played things off like their split was friendly/amicable, but more then one person has told me that shit was *very* bitter and angry between the two of them behind the scenes, and that Jillian divorcing Brad was apparently a "long time coming" due to the fact that, supposedly, Brad did some fucked up shit to Jillian behind closed doors.

With all the drama I'm hearing from TGWTG, especially the snob, it seems like something perfect for a soap opera
i listened to stories of that "popquiz hotshot" thing, and how it was just a wreck from start to finish.
i want to make a fictionalized retelling of the making and shooting of the quizshow into a short film
perhaps in a fauxumentary style

If someone made a gritty mocumentary on the rise and fall of "corrupt" Internet critics... I'd honestly watch it...

Considering they supposedly reshot the whole thing at least twice, it wouldn't surprise me if they did spend it all on the show, but made really shitty use of their budget. Which, considering Doug's run-in with Tommy Wiseau several years back, would be some sweet, sweet irony.

Oh god Popquiz hotshot was a fucking joke. I wonder what they bought for all the money instead of using it for the show they promised to make 2 years ago(!)

Take this with a grain of salt, as I don't *think* it's been verified, but I've heard more then one person say that a good chunk of the money went to:

a) Pay off all of the debts the Walkers had

b) Pay for Brad's (supposed) cocaine habit.

I can kind of believe the first point (provided if there's proof to go along with it), but the second one sounds a little out there imo. Then again, you never know.

i have heard nothing about a drug habit, but then again, putting up with making that show would drive anyone to drugs.
it would be horrible and funny in a way for brad to have a cocaine habit.. liking the 80s and all.
it wouldn't surprise me if channel awesome was in the red.

At this point, they might as well be.

I got the perfect disclaimer for such a project:

"The following motion picture is founded entirely upon unverifiable rumors and innuendo. However, should anyone wish to file a complaint - thereby attaching themselves to said rumors and innuendo - they may do so at their own discretion. Or peril."

(More a claimer than a disclaimer, really.)

I used to watch Nostalgia Critic way back in 2008-2009, back when his longest videos were 14-18 minutes long and he didn't need to constantly rely on bringing other reviewers into his shows.

But now after reading all these posts, I'm glad I stopped watching him when I did.

Anyway, my curiosity is honestly peaked. I know that I should take all of this with a grain of salt, but if it's okay to ask:what did Brad allegedly do to Jillian, @Frank Rizzo?

Of course, you don't have to answer this if you don't want to! If you don't want to answer this, then I'm sorry wasted your time!

It's more a point that most of what I heard is rumor and he said/she said stuff, don't really have any "verified" information.

Oh, okay. I'm sorry for the confusion!

Anyway, with all of these things allegedly happening within CA, I'm honestly surprised that the site made it this far...

I've been keeping track of the rumors on these guys for quite some time. I've even read the hilarious /tv/ Guide to all the rumors and crazy shit that have happened related to this drama.

There's a lot in the guide that lacks credibility, but it has the bit in it about Brad being a coke addict, so the rumor's been around for awhile. It also says Iron Liz didn't really have a dick at one point, which we now know not only isn't true but is the reason Linker both dated and broke up with him at the time/her when they split. What an asshole.

Some bits I've known about for awhile. Spoony's brother killing a man in the line of duty was in a legit newspaper. Other's I'd have zero trouble believing to be true, or at least would really like to be true, like the Nostalgia Chick sleeping with all the dudes in CA except Linkara.

Then there's stuff I'm very skeptical of. Nothing related to the fetishes. Those usually turn out to be true or even worse than expected. The stuff about them being more popular than RLM, though? That can't possibly be right, can it?

And honestly, compared to the sum total of those rumors, that's not even that bad. (Consensual, no one getting hurt, et cetera.) Just something of an inability on her (and her co-workers') part(s) to see how awkward the situation may end up.

(Hell, maybe not seeing that might just be an ability.)

I do hope she's at least not sleeping with anyone new after getting together with Todd. I still like him, though that respect deteriorates every time I see him tweet about gamers being worse than Nazis or his stupid fucking dog. Dude's one of the few people out there who knows about, cares about, and despises Ted Rall as much as I do.

Speaking of Ted Rall, I just got a new idea for a thread.

Yeah, I doubt a lot in that guide. Iron Liz did come out recently as a post-op transexual. And that was back in 2013 when Half in the Bag was just starting so I'm sure RLM has eclipsed the shit show at TGWTG. I really hope Brad leaves soon.

Wasn't there also a lot of hilarious shit about Paw's wife being an insane, asexual SJW who linked an article about how to prevent your kid from being a sex offender and felt the need to clarify that their son's biological gender was all that was determined by the ultrasound? Doesn't she even have a quote in the RTG?

How did that miss the /tv/ Guide?
