Like don't get me wrong, this changes nothing re: how insane Bogan is and certainly does not exculpate her of any involvement or the shitty things she's said and done towards Ashliii, but in Dick's mind does he honestly think the average normie is gonna hear this pleading tone little-girl-voiced "I'm sowwy..." and then his menacing little "insructions" and feel anything but above and beyond hatred for him? Rich is finished lmao, his best hope right now is to cut his losses, move to Cambodia and never go on the internet again. Failing that, suicide I guess.
 
While it didn't feature the screaming and nuthouse voices of the Shmorky fight this was somehow more painful. Richard forcefully telling "You know you don't remember anything when you're drunk." Feels like a Lifetime Network villian husband.

The end is also like what the fuck?? He coerces her into having this weird conversation to incriminate herself then says that by doing that she is breaking his 'one rule' that she shouldn't talk to him in person. And that he's going to call the cops?

Not only that, but MEGAN filed a restraining order this year against him for fear that he would kidnap their children and take them out of state. She must have had some reason for doing that. He did something to frighten her that much, and this is the elementary school art teacher we're talking about.

Yes the detective probably did call Logan and Logan probably gave the cops her parents' phone number or other alternative to her cell if it was, in fact, being paid by Lowtax and got cut off. Calling the victims of DV for follow-up and basic information is part of their jobs.

You know what strikes me as interesting? Again, from when I used to interview alleged perpetrators in CPS cases of DV, and it's been a few years since I left that shit, but it immediately strikes me eerily hard how familiar LowT's tone of voice is.

Despite that he is clearly not sober, how eerily cold yet controlled and calculating his voice tone, like he's falling into the ol' familiar routine anyone used to manipulating people for coercion, "convincing", or they can flip their act and act super friendly and charming. They almost always did this when I interviewed them, as I was younger when I started my career in that world, around mid 20s when I started doing that work, the abusers would usually be in their mid 30s and 40s, they used to try jovial shit like exerting their age and "wisdom" over me even as I was sitting there interviewing them for a statement of admission of a crime by calling me "buddy", sharing wacky stories from their past, etc. With DV, it is always, always, always about control. Pure and simple. Control of finances, control of living arrangements, control of transportation, control of kids, control of whatever, you get the point. When that control starts to unravel, shit gets real nasty.

Hopfully more people will finally realize that the "Kiwi stigma" is all bullshit, just like Lowtax' stories.
