Absolutely the latter. Shes angling for stockholm, innocent battered wife who just loved him and wanted him to be happy but brought him the wrong bourbon in the wrong glass in his study. The angle of "hes making me retract and say all this stuff, Im confused and lost, too stupid to understand what Im doing, Im just a dumb woman, like he said!"

Ashli was kind to him by trying to keep all their personal problems private. Hes too dumb to accept kindness where he can and humble himself before it.

I think one of the most damning parts of this whole thing is that his first ex-wife not only helped his second wife and child escape from him, but also stood up for her when she talked to the police about how abusive Richard is. She corroberated everything that Ashli said, knowing that it's going to open up a painful and difficult part of her life to public scrutiny. Megan is a fucking champ. Lowtax made this bed over many, many years, and now he's being a whiny bitch about having to sleep in it.

I think what's happening is something like he's texting her saying 'you crazy bitch, you're ruining my life' and then she says something like 'what am I supposed to do, make a post saying I've made this all up' and then he agrees and then we get those kinds of posts and videos.
