I miss literally any year that is not the current one. I can't remember any other stretch of time that seemed THIS through the looking glass. 9/11 didn't even feel as unreal to me as the current year.

Locals in my city have been asking questions to riots and protesters like what area of the city they’re in or what neighborhood they’re from to figure out who to fight. My city has uncommon names for sections of the city that only people who live here understand, so if you said something like, “we are in southside,” then you’re getting your ass kicked. I’m glad the city I live in has this weird ass culture right now.
